The Giants made the following roster moves prior to Saturday's game:
IF Alen Hanson (#19) returned from his rehab assignment and was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list.
IF Brandon Belt was placed on the 10-day DL with appendicitis.
OF Gregor Blanco was designated for assignment.
OF Hunter Pence (#8) returned from his rehab assignment and was activated from the 10-day DL.
·       Missed 40 games with a right thumb sprain, an injury he suffered on April 3 while diving for a ball.
·       At the time of the injury, he was batting .172 (10-for-58) with one extra-base hit in 17 games for SF.
·       Appeared in 25 rehab games with Sacramento and batted .301 (31-for-103) with 13 RBI....had to pause his rehab in early May in order to rest his thumb.
