The Giants made the following roster moves prior to today's game:
IF Chase d'Arnaud (#2) had his contract purchased from triple-A.
IF Joe Panik was placed on the 10-day DL (left groin strain).
RHP Jeff Samardzija (#29) returned from his rehab assignment and was reinstated from the DL.
RHP Chris Stratton was optioned to triple-A Sacramento.
RHP Hunter Strickland was transferred to the 60-day DL.
