Hayden Wesneski is inching closer to returning to the Majors.
Wesneski, who is rehabbing from May 2025 Tommy John surgery, tossed four innings of one-run ball for Double-A Corpus Christi on Sunday. The 28-year-old right-hander threw 46 pitches (29 strikes), struck out three batters and allowed two hits and one walk.
Wesneski, Cam Smith and Isaac Paredes were acquired by the Astros in the December 2024 trade that sent Kyle Tucker to the Cubs. Wesneski posted a 4.50 ERA with 29 strikeouts in six outings with Houston in 2025 before he ultimately underwent surgery.
