Five Top 100 prospects headline latest on Team of the Week

May 4th, 2026

Last week was full of home runs across the Minor Leagues. To be exact, players on team Top 30 prospect lists accounted for 249 home runs across six days of games.

There were two-homer games. Three-homer games. A three-homer day across a doubleheader. No shortage of longballs from players who made the list of top performers. Five of those sluggers, in particular, are Top 100 prospects, the highest total of such players this season.

To be eligible for the Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week, Minor League players must be ranked among their club's Top 30 prospects on Pipeline's lists. (Those in the Majors do not qualify.)

This is the Prospect Team of the Week for April 27-May 3:

C: Easton Carmichael, Greensboro Grasshoppers (High-A)
Pirates No. 17
.435/.458/.826, 5 G, 10-for-23, 2 HR, 1 3B, 2 2B, 10 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 3 SB

Carmichael's pro debut after the Pirates drafted him in the third round last summer was bumpy because a left wrist injury limited his offensive production. Fully healthy in 2026, the Oklahoma product has been a force at the plate. The 22-year-old is slashing 333/.381/.544 overall, and his hottest stretch yet has come this week, as he picked up multiple hits in four of his five games and drove in at least one run every outing.

1B: Bryce Eldridge, Sacramento River Cats (Triple-A)
Giants No. 1/MLB No. 20
.474/.600/.789, 5 G, 9-for-19, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 6 R, 6 BB, 8 K

The Giants called up their top prospect on Sunday night, and if this was his last week in the Minor Leagues, then what a sendoff it was. The 6-foot-7 slugger made a statement last Wednesday when he went deep twice in a four-hit, six-RBI game and ended his week with a pair of multihit games, helping him earn his third Prospect Team of the Week honors after previously making it twice in the last six weeks of the 2024 season. During his latest stint in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, Eldridge ranked fifth on the circuit in on-base percentage (.445) and eighth in OPS (.963).

2B: John Peck, Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)
Tigers No. 15
.526/.550/1.368, 5 G, 10-for-19, 4 HR, 4 2B, 9 RBI, 9 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 SB

Peck has split his time this season across three infield positions, largley shortstop and second base, but the one consistent thing is he's mashing regardless of his defensive home. The 2023 seventh-rounder went deep in four straight games last week and drove in or scored a combined four runs in each of those contests. The Pepperdine product, who previously made a Prospect Team of the Week late in 2025, has a career-best .869 OPS and is more than halfway (six) to his career high in homers (11).

3B: Caleb Bonemer, Winston-Salem Dash (High-A)
White Sox No. 3/MLB No. 53
.348/.516/.913, 6 G, 8-for-23, 4 HR, 1 2B, 8 RBI, 9 R, 7 BB, 10 K, 1 SB

Bonemer's week starting with a bang as he went deep three times and drove in six runs, which moved him into second place in the Minor Leagues in roundtrippers (10). He homered again the following day and picked up a hit in every game of the series. The 2024 second-rounder, who leads qualified High-A hitters with a .722 slugging percentage, previously made a Prospect Team of the Week in late 2025.

SS: Ethan Holliday, Fresno Grizzlies (Single-A)
Rockies No. 1/MLB No. 19
.500/.682/1.083, 5 G, 6-for-12, 2 HR, 1 2B, 11 RBI, 5 R, 8 BB, 3 K, 1 CS

After a slow start to the season, Holliday has been red hot the past few weeks and is now slashing .261/.418/.493 on the season. The fourth overall pick in last year's Draft reached base safely six times in his first game of last week before crushing his first pro grand slam on Tuesday. The Oklahoma native had a brief scare when he left Thursday's game after getting hit on the elbow, but he returned to homer in a three-hit game Saturday and double on Sunday.

OF: Mike Sirota, Great Lakes Loons (High-A)
Dodgers No. 4/MLB No. 52
.533/.682/1.467, 5 G, 8-for-15, 4 HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI, 8 R, 6 BB, 2 K

In a system crowded with talented outfielders -- the Dodgers have four Top 100 prospects plus another two in their top 10 who play the position -- Sirota stands out as the top performer of the group this season. The 2024 third-rounder is slashing .329/.481/.683 with as many walks (21) as strikeouts (21) after a big week with the Loons. The right fielder stood out last week, in particular, for his three homers across a doubleheader on Thursday, and he also bookended the series with a pair of multihit performances.

OF: Lazaro Montes, Arkansas Travelers (Double-A)
Mariners No. 4/MLB No. 37
.333/.429/1.167, 6 G, 8-for-24, 6 HR, 1 3B, 12 RBI, 8 R, 4 BB, 10 K

Heading into the week, Montes had a .686 OPS and one homer in his first 20 games. My, how things change. In just six games, the Cuba native is up to a .928 OPS after he crushed six home runs -- three in one game -- and one triple. It's no-joke power from the 6-foot-5 slugger, who hit one of those roundtrippers at 118 mph, per the ballpark's Trackman unit. Montes is a familiar face to the Prospect Team of the Week after making it once in 2023 and three times in 2024.

OF: Sterlin Thompson, Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A)
Rockies No. 15
.647/.750/.941, 5 G, 11-for-17, 1 HR, 2 2B, 9 RBI, 5 R, 7 BB, 5 K, 2 SB

Thompson earns his third Prospect Team of the Week honors (previously in Week 18 of 2023 and '25) after a complete offensive performance. The 31st overall pick in 2022 collected a hit and walk in all five games last week, with the highlight being a five-hit game with a homer and two doubles. And not only is he hitting well, but his plate-discipline numbers are a lot stronger, with nearly as many walks (23) as strikeouts (27).

LHP: Herick Hernandez, Columbus Clingstones (Double-A)
Braves No. 14
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 0.14 WHIP

Walks had cut into Hernandez's ability to get deep into starts in his first forray in Double-A, so last week's outing was a huge step forward for the University of Miami product. The 2024 fourth-rounder gave up just one baserunner and retired the first 16 batters he faced, enabling him to go seven innings for the second time in his pro career. This is his third straight season with a Prospect Team of the Week appearance, and he's up to a career-best 33.7 percent strikeout rate.

RHP: Coleman Crow, Nashville Sounds (Triple-A)
Brewers No. 26
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 0.53 WHIP

Crow, who made his Major League debut two starts ago, is coming off his best outing of the campaign as he scattered one hit and two walks across 5 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts. He even erased one baserunner with a pickoff at first. The 25-year-old righty picked up 10 whiffs on 30 swings and is up to 30 strikeouts in 25 Minor League innings.

RP: Jonathan Pintaro, Syracuse Mets (Triple-A)
Mets No. 21
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 3 1/3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 0.60 WHIP

The Mets have put an emphasis on longer relief outings for Pintaro this season, and he's rewarded them with dominance in bunches. The MLB Draft League product recorded four outs and six outs in his appearances last week -- seven of which came via K -- as he issued two walks and did not give up a hit. He picked up 10 whiffs on 18 swings, with his cutter accouting for seven of those swings-and-misses.
