Here is an update on the progress of the other prospects playing in the Dominican Winter League (LIDOM), the Venezuelan Winter League (LVBP) or the Mexican Pacific League (LMP).
Jesús Made (MIL No. 1/MLB No. 1)
Baseball’s top prospect is off to a respectable start for Tigres de Licey (LIDOM), slashing .318/.423/.409 through 52 plate appearances. He has more walks (eight) than strikeouts (six) with his ability to get on base headlining his performance in the Dominican Republic. The Brewers are World Series champions and their top prospect is riding that momentum with a productive run at the plate.
Alfredo Duno (CIN No. 1/MLB No. 20)
The third-ranked catching prospect in the game missed time during the regular season with a hamstring strain. He came back to perform well in the Reds’ system during the Minor League season, though he’s yet to get in a groove in winter ball. He's hit just .186 (.653 OPS) in 52 plate appearances for the Leones del Caracas (LVBP).
Emil Morales (LAD No. 4/MLB No. 22)
The talented shortstop is looking to build on an impressive 2026 campaign. So far with the Gigantes de Cibao (LIDOM), he’s had just seven plate appearances but has a pair of hits, two walks and a run batted in.
Jhonny Level (SF No. 4/MLB No. 43)
The 19-year-old flashed some power early in the season -- slugging .464 in his first 28 at-bats for Aguilas del Zulia (LVBP). Level mashed 18 home runs between two levels in the Giants’ system during the regular season.
Roldy Brito (COL No. 2/MLB No. 52)
Another 19-year-prospect from the National League West, Brito hit .267 to start his tenure with the Gigantes del Cibao (LIDOM). He slashed .305/.361/.455 between two levels in 2026 and can put pressure on the basepaths with 15 triples and 76 stolen bases in his first two full seasons in affiliated ball.
Jefferson Rojas (NYM No. 1/MLB No. 68)
New York acquired its top prospect in a deadline deal in exchange for Clay Holmes and Tyrone Taylor with the Cubs. Rojas adjusted well to his new organization with 12 homers in 35 games after the trade. Joining Brito and Morales with Gigantes del Cibao (LIDOM), Rojas had a pair of long balls and a .807 OPS through 31 plate appearances. The infielder finished the 2026 regular season with 27 home runs.
Justin Gonzales (BOS No. 2/MLB No. 71)
Gonzales showed real power in his bat and arm during the regular season. He had highlight-reel assists from corner outfield spots and tallied 19 home runs and an .834 OPS between High-A Greenville and Double-A Portland. Gonzales is just two games into his tenure for the Toros del Este (LIDOM) with a double at the dish.
Francisco Renteria (PHI No. 3/MLB No. 73)
The 17-year-old hasn’t taken the field in affiliated ball yet, but he tore the cover off the ball in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League, where he slashed .379/.470/.682 (1.152 OPS). Renteria hasn't yet translates that momentum to winter ball with Aguilas del Zulia (LVBP) in a 1-for-16 start at the plate.
Leo Bernal (STL No. 4/MLB No. 80)
Bernal is 5-for-34 in action for the Estrellas Orientales (LIDOM), though three of those hits were for home runs, giving him a .471 slugging percentage. The backstop impressed in his 24-game introduction to the big leagues with five home runs and an .807 OPS. The 22-year-old swiftly worked his way through a talented Cardinals' system up to St. Louis.
Omar Alfonzo (NYY No. 28)
Alfonzo leads all winter leaguers with a 1.433 OPS in his start with Caribes de Anzoátegui (LVBP). He’s got five home runs and -- like Made -- also has walked (nine times) more than he struck out (eight). Formerly with the Pirates, Alfonzo joined New York as part of the return for Camilo Doval at this year’s Trade Deadline. The 23-year-old has completed five full seasons of Minor League action.
Gabriel Gonzalez (MIN No. 11)
Playing for Caribes de Anzoategui (LVBP), Gonzalez has the most plate appearances of any winter leaguer and has been red-hot at the plate with four home runs, 18 runs and 16 RBIs and a slash line of .397/.476/.658 (1.134 OPS) through 18 games. Gonzalez made his Major League debut this year and hit .250 in seven games for the Twins.
Aron Estrada (BAL No. 13)
Estrada has slashed .377/.419/.536 thus far for Aguilas del Zulia (LVBP). He spent the majority of 2026 with Double-A Chesapeake with 24 home runs after swatting just 10 in 2025, and added another during a short five-game stint at Triple-A Norfolk at season's end.
Victor Arias (TOR No. 24)
Arias has been cruising for the Aguilas del Zulia (LVBP) with a .362/.422/.483 slash line. The 23-year-old cooled off in 2026 after a pair of productive campaigns in the Blue Jays’ system. He hit just .220 with a .645 OPS, so his resurgence in winter ball should be a welcome sign.
Tony Rossi (NYY No. 26)
Rossi sports an 0.87 ERA with eight strikeouts and just two walks over 10 1/3 frames for Tomateros de Culiacan (LMP). The 27-year-old veteran had another excellent season as a reliever with 12.1 K/9 in 52 2/3 innings between High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset. He boasts a 2.20 career ERA in the Minors after signing as a nondrafted free agent in 2024 following a six-year college career across three different schools.
Leandro Lopez (TEX No. 27)
Lopez has yet to allow a run through 6 2/3 innings for the Aguilas Cibaenas (LIDOM) while surrendering just two hits and striking out eight. Right shoulder fatigue limited him to just 17 appearances this season, but he excelled in 2025 with a 2.40 ERA and 116 strikeouts over a career-high 101 2/3 innings.
