Phillies activate Lee for start vs. Mets

PHILADELPHIA -- As expected, the Phillies activated Cliff Lee from the 15-day disabled list Wednesday.

He will pitch against the New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park.

Lee has not pitched since he strained his left oblique last month while pitching 10 scoreless innings against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park.

To make room for Lee on the 25-man roster, the Phillies optioned right-hander Michael Schwimer to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He had an 8.53 ERA in five appearances.
