#CollegeSeries Baseball Analytics Night
Sponsored by Temple University's Fox School of BusinessOn Wednesday, September 27, college students, recent graduates, professors and interested parents are invited to go behind the scenes with baseball analytics and integrated baseball performance executives and special guests - as well as receive career advice - at this exclusive #CollegeSeries pregame event at Citizens Bank Park.

- Learn from top Phillies baseball analytics and integrative baseball performance executives during a moderated question-and-answer session in the Media Room at Citizens Bank Park. Panelists will provide excellent insight into their area of business, as well as share career experience and advice, which includes being a part of the 2022 Phillies World Series run! Phillies speakers include: Tegan Bunsu Ashby, Assistant Director of Software Engineering, Baseball Research and Development; Corinne Landrey, Director, Baseball Operations; Alex Nakahara, Director, Research & Development; Rob Segedin, Director, Integrative Baseball Performance; and Kenny Johnson, Manager, Community Engagement (moderator).
Program includes a ticket to that night’s 6:40 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Your game ticket also includes a $12 concession credit.
Additional Details
- Check-in begins at 4 p.m. and features an hour-long Networking Hour, along with the chance to take photos with 1993 NL Champs Mickey Morandini and Milt Thomson and the 2022 National League and 2008/1980 World Series Trophies.
- The panel portion of the program officially starts at 5 p.m., and continues until 6:15 p.m.
- The event is limited to 120 students. Interested professors, recent graduates, and parents of students are welcome to attend.
- Dress is business casual or casual.
- Students are urged to ask questions throughout the program.
Program cost: $25. In addition to the above networking and panel, the program cost includes a Phillies game ticket with $12 concession credit to that night's 6:40 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Corinne Landrey, Director, Baseball Operations, The Phillies

Corinne Landrey joined the Phillies baseball operations department in 2017 as an intern and was hired as an analyst in baseball research and development that October. She was promoted to her current position in January 2022. In this role, Corinne supports player procurement information integration initiatives and assists with roster management, transactions and salary arbitration.
Before joining the Phillies, she began her baseball career as a public analyst for outlets including MLB.com, FanGraphs and The Hardball Times.
Corinne is a 2008 graduate of the Ithaca College School of Music and taught high school band for several years. She grew up in Wilmington, Del., and currently lives in Philadelphia with her wife Amanda and daughter Ellis.
Alex Nakahara, Director, Research & Development, The Phillies

Alex Nakahara is the Senior Director, Baseball Research & Development; in this role, Alex provides strategic leadership in R&D, identifying high-value problems in baseball research and developing plans to address them. He also oversees budgeting, hiring and departmental logistics. The R&D group consists of over forty software engineers and data scientists.
Alex originally joined the Phillies in 2017 as a senior quantitative analyst and was promoted to Director, Research & Development in November 2021. Before joining the Phillies, Alex worked for four years at Northrop Grumman as a systems engineer in a variety of roles, including as the lead researcher for several air traffic control research and development projects.
Alex received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 and a master’s degree from MIT in aeronautics and astronautics in 2012.
Rob Segedin, Director, Integrative Baseball Performance, The Phillies

Rob Segedin was named to his current position in February 2021. Previously, the position had been filled in 2020 by current general manager, Sam Fuld.
During the shortened 2020 season, Rob served as the minor league assistant hitting coordinator after working as a player information assistant in 2019, his first year with the Phillies. In his current role, he works closely with the Phillies athletic training, strength & conditioning and nutrition departments.
Originally a third-round selection by the New York Yankees in the June 2010 draft out of Tulane University, Rob played nine years of professional baseball, including 53 games in the major leagues with the Los Angeles Dodgers over the 2016-17 seasons. Prior to making his major league debut in August 2016, the former infielder/outfielder hit .319 with 23 doubles, 21 home runs and 69 RBI in 103 games for triple-A Oklahoma City. Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and management from Tulane and his master’s degree in analytics from Indiana University.
Born in Teaneck, N.J., Rob and his wife Robin currently reside in Plantation, Fla. They have three children: Robinson, Roselily and Romeo.
Kenny Johnson, Manager, Community Engagement, The Phillies (moderator)

Kenny started with the Phillies while still in high school in 1999, serving as both an intern in the Outreach Department and a game day employee for the Phillies Fan Clubs. While attending Villanova University the following years, he continued his office internship at the Phillies during each of his summers off from school until graduating in 2004.
In 2007, Kenny joined the Outreach Department as a full time Representative. Along with his colleagues in his department, he has been involved in the planning and implementation of many programs during the season that are geared towards evolving baseball fans. These programs range from Phillies Coaches’ Clinics and the Phillies Baseball Academy for kids, to high school and collegiate showcase tournaments for teens and young adults, to Batting Challenges and mini-Fantasy Camps for corporate sponsors. He has also overseen the operations of the Phillies Fan Clubs and managed its staff of game day employees.
Kenny now works in conjunction with the Phillies Outreach, Events and Sales Departments to plan and promote outreach and community focused events at the Ballpark and around the city, as well as to keep the Phillies connected with Philadelphia’s diverse communities. He also assists with the Phillies front office recruitment efforts and events focused on elementary, high school and college students. Kenny currently serves on the PHL Diversity Advisory Board, the Healthy NewsWorks Advisory Board and the UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball Committee.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Kenny continues to reside in his native region.
Special Networking Hour Guest: Mickey Morandini, 1993 National League Champion and Phillies Club Ambassador

Mickey Morandini transitioned to his role as club ambassador in 2018. He had spent the previous two years with the team as first base coach and baserunning instructor.
Prior to joining the major league staff, Mickey spent five years in the Phillies minor league system as a coach for triple-A Lehigh Valley and double-A Reading and manager for single-A Lakewood and single-A Williamsport. He also spent four years as head coach for the Valparaiso High School varsity baseball team.
A 1995 National League All-Star, Mickey played nine of his 11 major league seasons (1990-2000) with the Phillies and was a member of the 1993 NL champions. He ranks fourth in Phillies history in most games played at second base (926) and was the recipient of the Paul Owens Award in 1989 as the best player in the Phillies minor league system. Mickey was originally selected by the Phillies in the fifth round of the June 1988 draft out of Indiana University. As an amateur, he won a gold medal as a member of the 1988 Olympic baseball team.
Born in Leechburg, Pa., Mickey and his wife Peg currently live in Glen Mills, Pa. They have three sons: Jordan, Griffin and Braydon.
Special Networking Hour Guest: Milt Thompson, 1993 National League Champion, Coach for 2008 World Champion Phillies and Phillies Club Ambassador

An outfielder for the 1993 National League champs and hitting coach for the 2008 World Series champions, Milt Thompson returned to the Phillies organization as a community club ambassador in March 2022. In this role, he serves as a club resource for community outreach with an emphasis on youth baseball and softball development, working with the Phillies RBI program and the Phillies Urban Youth Academy.
Milt previously served the Phillies as major league hitting coach (2005-10) following one season as first base coach (2004). From 2005-09, Milt guided Phillies hitters to the National League lead in home runs, RBI, runs, extra-base hits and total bases. He also served as a coach on the NL All-Star team in 2009.
Originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of Howard University in 1979, Milt played 18 years of professional baseball, including 13 seasons in the majors with the Braves (1984-85), Phillies (1986, 1993-94), St. Louis Cardinals (1989-92), Houston Astros (1994-95), Los Angeles Dodgers (1996) and Colorado Rockies (1996). He hit .313 with six RBI in 1993 World Series and set a Phillies record with five RBI in Game 4 at Veterans Stadium.
Milt began his coaching career in 1997 as minor league outfield/baserunning coordinator for Tampa Bay before joining the Phillies minor league system as a coach at Reading (1998-99) and outfield/baserunning coordinator (2001-03).
Born in Washington, D.C., Milt lives in Sewell, N.J. with his wife Carole. He has four daughters: Torri, Jennifer, Courtney and Alyssa.
