Invited to Major League Spring Training for the second consecutive year, both seasons entering as the Cardinals 2nd-youngest player in camp behind catcher Ivan Herrera... Hit .279/.333/.481 with a .814 OPS in 119 games between Springfield (AA) and Memphis (AAA), setting career highs in hits (134), home runs (25), RBI (75), runs scored (71), total bases (231), and stolen bases (7)... Led the Cardinals minor league system in plate appearances (523), at-bats (480), hits, and total bases, and shared the organizational lead in games played (119)... Appeared defensively in 77 games at second base, committing seven errors in 349 total chances (.980 fielding pct.). Also appeared in 32 games at third base... Hit 13 home runs as a second baseman, T6th-most by any minor league second baseman... Among Cardinals minor league second baseman since 2005, only Aaron Herr (21 for AA-Springfield in 2005) and Jarrett Hoffpauir (14 for AAA-Memphis in 2009) have hit more home runs in a single season... Decreased his strikeout total from 152 in 2019 (512 PA) to 115 in 2021 (523 PA)... Did not play due to the COVID-19 protocols eliminating the 2020 season...Trained at the Alternate Training Site in Springfield, Mo., but did not travel as a member of the Taxi Squad.
