Born in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba, and played three seasons (2013-16) in the Cuban National Series for the Tigres de Ciego de Ávila.

2022

Combined for 13 appearances with the O's (3 G) and Twins (10 G); went 1-1 with an 11.50 ERA (23 ER/18.0 IP) and 21 strikeouts...Made his O’s debut on 9/10 vs. BOS (1.2 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 3 BB, 3 K); had two stints on Baltimore's big-league roster...Made his MLB debut with Minnesota on 5/11 vs. HOU (2.1 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, HR, 2 K)...Went 1-2 with four saves and a 2.90 ERA (13 ER/40.1 IP) in 31 combined Triple-A appearances with St. Paul and Norfolk.

2021

Began season at Double-A Wichita...set season-high with six strikeouts in 2.1 innings pitched on May 11 vs. Amarillo, including throwing an immaculate inning in the eighth inning of that appearance....Fourteen of 18 appearances for the Wind Surge were scoreless, posting an ERA of 1.47 (18.1 IP, 3 ER)...struck out 28 batters in 18.1 innings pitched for Wichita including just one home run allowed...promoted to Triple-A St. Paul on June 15 where he spent the remainder of the season...converted saves in three of final five appearances for the Saints from Sept. 15-Oct. 3...converted four of six save opportunities for the Saints on the season...struck out at least one batter in 28 of 30 appearances for the Saints, striking out multiple batters in 14 of those 30...combined to go 5-3, 3.23 ERA (69.2 IP, 25 ER) with five saves, 34 walks, 86 strikeouts and a 1.38 WHIP in 42 games (1 start) between Wichita and St. Paul...held right-handed batters to a .210 (30-for-143) batting average, compared to .279 (31-for-11) for left-handed batters...pitched for Atenienses de Manatí in the Puerto Rican Winter League...was named PWL post-season All-Star after going 0-0, 1.08 ERA (8.1 IP, 1 ER) with four saves, three hits allowed, two walks and 11 strikeouts in seven games.

2020

Did not play professionally due to minor league season cancellation (COVID-19).

2019

Split season between GCL Twins and High-A Fort Myers, combining to go 0-0, 4.20 ERA (15.0 IP, 7 ER) with 14 walks, 15 strikeouts and a .189 opponent batting average in 10 games...made professional debut on July 24 vs. GCL Orioles, allowing four runs (three earned) on one hit but did not record an out...transferred to Fort Myers July 30 after two appearances with GCL.
