Hanigan not ready to come off disabled list

LOS ANGELES -- Reds catcher Ryan Hanigan still wasn't ready to be activated from the disabled list on Friday after he became eligible on Thursday. Hanigan, who has been out since July 11 with a sprained left wrist, felt like he was improving.

"I decided to give it the last two days to just do treatment and break over the hump there," Hanigan said. "The pain is still in there. It's gotten a lot better."

Hanigan was preparing to test his wrist in the batting cage later on Friday.

"I can't tell until I get in there and swing the bat. The test is going to be hitting," Hanigan said. "Doing everything else feels fine."
