PAST EVENTS

African American Community Night

Friday, May 27, 2022 vs. San Francisco Giants at 6:40 p.m.

On Friday, May 27th, the Reds hosted their annual African American Community Night presented by AARP Ohio at Great American Ball Park. Fans enjoyed a one night only, pop-up party in the Swift Party Barn featuring partners such as Black & Brown Faces, Brent Billingsley, and Corporate. The festivities included card games, dominoes, photo ops, and Reds Mascot visits. DJ Hilliard was also set-up in the First Star Fan Zone for live music, and a special ticket offer included a ticket to the game AND an exclusive Reds Originalitees T-Shirt.

Pride Community Night

On Friday, June 3, the Cincinnati Reds joined the celebration of Pride Month with Pride Community Night at the ballpark. A special ticket package was available that included a Cincinnati Reds Pride hat. This night featured multiple pre-game events to honor the various local organizations in the LGBTQ+ community, including Joshua Kayes being honored with the Pride Community Night Community Advocate Award presented by PNC Bank.

Jewish Community Night

On Tuesday, June 7, the Reds hosted the fourth Jewish Community Night at Great American Ball Park, generously sponsored by Jimmy and Lauren Miller, with support from the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati! Ticket packages were available that included a co-branded Reds baseball with “Cincinnati” written in Hebrew. John Silverman, Managing Principal and co-Founder of Midland Atlantic, was honored as the Jewish Community Night Community Advocate Award winner, presented by PNC Bank. Also, Rabbi Mangel of the Chabad Jewish Center delivered the game ball.

Irish Community Night

On Friday, July 8, the Reds hosted the annual Irish Community Night at Great American Ball Park! The night was held during the weekend of the free Celtic Festival at The Banks. Festivities included a special pregame celebration recognizing Dan McKenna, Chairman of the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, as the recipient of the Irish Community Advocate Award, presented by PNC Bank.

Japanese American Community Day

On Sunday, August 14, the Reds celebrated Japanese American Community Day at Great American Ball Park. Many of the day’s pregame ceremonies and segments through the game featured members of the local Japanese American Community, including a ceremonial first pitch and honorary captain of the game.

Fiesta Rojos – Hispanic Heritage Community Night

Friday, September 23, 2022 vs. Milwaukee Brewers at 6:40 p.m.

The Reds celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a full day’s worth of “Fiesta Rojos” festivities on Sept. 23. The day kicked off with over 100 students visiting the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy and participating in a Q&A session in Spanish with several Reds players, along with receiving pitching and hitting tips and salsa dance lessons. At the ballpark, the Reds held their annual Hispanic Community Night with Fiesta Rojos, presented by Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Toyota Dealers. Activities included a DJ on Crosley Terrace, live music in the First Star Fan Zone, pregame ceremonies with a special salute to Reds Hall of Famer David Concepcion, Reds players and coaches wearing special “Los Rojos” jerseys for the game and more.
