The St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina announced today that the Official Cardinals Team Store at Busch Stadium will be the exclusive seller of a variety of unique, high-quality sports apparel items from Molina's M4 fashion collection. Fans will be able to select from a variety of shirts for men, women and children that have been designed specifically for Cardinals fans and are not available anywhere but Busch Stadium.
"I wanted to do this because St. Louis is my home and fans here have been so supportive of me over the years. I'm very excited to share these items with the best fans in baseball," said Molina. "We've worked hard to develop something that we hope fans will love and that allows me to communicate my passion, as well as sharing more of me, my values and my heritage with Cardinals Nation."
The idea to develop the M4 clothing line began five years ago with a conversation between Molina and his wife Wanda. The couple wanted to start a business they could work together to develop and that would allow Yadi to share more about himself with the public in the hope of building a deeper connection with fans.
The idea to do an exclusive line that would only be available at Busch Stadium was a natural extension of this desire to connect with fans. Planning began earlier this year at Spring Training with Vicki Bryant, Vice President of Event Services and Merchandising.
"We were really excited about the idea of working with Yadi to develop something exclusively for our great fans," said Bryant. "I believe fans will fall in love with these items the same way they fell in love with Yadi."
In developing the M4 line, Yadi and his wife Wanda hope to allow fans to get to know the proud and passionate man behind the catcher's mask.
Molina's rise to one of the best catchers in baseball began with his brothers Bengie and Jose on a little league ballfield in Jesús Mambe Kuilan Park across from his home in his Vega Alta, Puerto Rico barrio where his father, his Pai, taught him about loyalty, humility, courage and the true meaning of success. Molina said he feels blessed to be able to pursue his passion and do what he loves on the baseball diamond because of the values he was taught as a boy by his father.
Fans know Yadi as an intense and disciplined competitor who has a deep and abiding commitment to excellence in each aspect of his game. Yadi's knowledge of the game and his ability to work effectively with pitchers is legendary. Yadi is a team leader, who has a reputation for lifting up his teammates, and who leads by example, embodying the qualities of strength, courage and discipline each day he steps onto the baseball diamond. These are just some of the qualities interwoven into the M4 line. In developing the exclusive collection, the Molinas hope to share a little of Yadi's personality and his proud Puerto Rican heritage with fans.

The exclusive line of M4 items available at the Official Cardinals Team Store at Busch Stadium and other retail locations within Busch Stadium include seven men's athletic cut crew neck t-shirts, four ladies fitted v-neck t-shirts, two children's t-shirts and several caps. Each of the shirts includes the simple, stylish M4 trademarked logo. The shirts are designed for year-round wear, featuring a silky soft premium mid-weight imported fabric (95% cotton/5% spandex). Each cap features the embroidered M4 logo at both the front and back, and has a flat bill brim and snap closure in the back.
