Dodgers top prospect's first 2-HR game of the year keys vaunted Double-A roster's power display

May 31st, 2026

The Dodgers' top prospect put on a show at Double-A Sunday, and what's even better for the organization, he was amply supported some more of the club's up-and-coming players.

Josue De Paula, MLB.com's No. 8 overall prospect, delivered his first multihomer game of the season on a four-hit day as Tulsa edged visiting Northwest Arkansas, 10-9, at ONEOK Field.

Two other Dodgers prospects ranked in the overall Top 100 also had big days at the plate. Mike Sirota (No. 41) swatted his first homer at the level on a three-hit day, and Zyhir Hope (No. 19) raced for a triple and knocked in three runs.

De Paula showed off his power potential in the third multihomer outing of his career and his fourth four-hit game of the season. After singling in the first two frames, the Dodgers' top prospect launched a two-run shot to right field off right-hander Andrew Morones (Royals) in the third inning. De Paula sent a solo shot out to right off righty Zachary Cawyer in the eighth.

Sirota spread the ball around the park as well. With two on, the Dodgers' No. 4 prospect lofted his first Double-A homer the opposite way off southpaw Frank Mozzicato (KC No. 27) deep the other way to right field in the second. Sirota also walked in the first, doubled to left in the third and singled to center in the fifth.

The bases were loaded for Tulsa in the first when Hope lashed his first three-bagger since last July 10 for High-A Great Lakes. The organization’s No. 2 prospect also singled in the second.

And Sunday wasn't too far out of the ordinary for these top L.A. prospects. De Paula has gone 20-for-37 over a nine-game hitting streak while Sirota extended baseball’s longest active on-base streak to 41 games. Only the A's Nick Kurtz and Seaver King (WSH No. 9) have had longer streaks this season at 48 and 42 games respectively.

This selected trio already seems to have gotten a handle on the Double-A in a relatively short amount of time. De Paula and Hope played just 10 games there last year before returning to start the 2026 campaign. They stand second (45) and third (43) respectively in RBIs in the Texas League. De Paula is near the top of the leaderboard in most categories, including average with a .323, and Hope's in the top 10 with a .288. Sirota has compiled a slash line of .342/.500/.526 for a 1.026 OPS in his first 11 games since his promotion.
