HOUSTON -- Astros shortstop , who’s already been on the injured list twice this season with soft-tissue injuries, and first baseman both exited Saturday’s game against the Orioles after injuring themselves swinging the bat.

Peña appeared to be in some type of discomfort after fouling off a changeup from Baltimore starter Trevor Rogers in the third inning, prompting a visit from manager Joe Espada and a trainer. Peña struck out swinging on the following pitch, exiting with a right hamstring cramp in the fourth inning. He was replaced by Nick Allen at shortstop.

Peña returned from a 10-day stint on the injured list with a strained left calf on July 10. He had been dealing with the calf strain for more than a week before his IL stint. He was also on the injured list from April 13-May 18 with a right hamstring strain, missing 32 games.

Meanwhile, Walker immediately grabbed his right side following a check-swing in the fourth inning, leaving with right hip tightness. He was replaced by LaMonte Wade Jr. Walker entered Saturday’s game with 405 plate appearances this year, which was the second most on the team behind Yordan Alvarez.
