Spent the entire season at Double-A Midland and hit .257 with 12 home runs and 50 RBI in 88 games...The home runs were a career high as was his .434 slugging percentage, 34 extra base hits and seven hit by pitches…matched his career high with 19 doubles...Batted .292 (28-for-96) with an .869 OPS against left-handed pitchers compared to .243 (60-for-247) with a .682 OPS against right-handers…had six home runs and 24 RBI in 96 at bats against lefties and six home runs and 26 RBI in 247 at bats against righties...Five of his 12 home runs gave the RockHounds the lead…six came with runners on base...Started 81 games at catcher, six at designated hitter and one at first base…made eight errors as the backstop (.990 fielding percentage)…opponents were successful in 99-of-134 (73.9%) stolen base attempts with him behind the plate…led Texas League catchers in assists (55), total chances (790), putouts (727) and games started (81) and tied for the lead in games (81)…also had the most stolen bases allowed and tied for the third most errors...Made 45 starts hitting clean-up, 27 batting fifth and 16 from the three spot in the order.
