Hanigan still troubled by left wrist

SAN DIEGO -- The progress in trying to return from a sprained left wrist hasn't been good lately for Reds catcher Ryan Hanigan. On the disabled list since July 11, Hanigan had hoped to be back by now, but has been experiencing soreness since last week.

Last week's break from hitting didn't help.

Hanigan resumed hitting the past couple of days, but he still feels something on the back of his hand and wrist.

"Every time I put the bat in my hand and put weight on it, it hurts," Hanigan said.
