is making yet another jump up in the Minor Leagues.

The Cubs' No. 1 prospect -- and the No. 39 prospect overall in MLB -- is being promoted to Double-A Knoxville, according to multiple reports.

A sixth-round Draft pick just last year out of Orange Lutheran High School in California, Hartshorn has hit 23 homers and 54 extra-base hits between Single-A and High-A this year, his first season of pro ball. The 19-year-old owns a .289/.411/.528 slash line across 547 plate appearances. He also has 110 RBIs, making him the first Cubs teenager to eclipse the 100-RBI mark since at least 2005.

Hartshorn's latest homer came on Tuesday, when he went deep as part of a three-hit night in High-A South Bend's playoff game versus Quad Cities. The plurality of his playing time this year has come at first base, but he has also spent a significant amount of time in center and right field.
