Yanks to call up Spencer Jones with Judge sidelined (report)

With set to miss time with a stress fracture of the first rib on his right side, the Yankees are set to recall outfielder , according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman on Friday. The club has not confirmed.

Ranked as the club's No. 6 prospect per MLB Pipeline, Jones earned his first callup on May 8 before he was optioned two weeks later. Jones was called up at that time when Jasson Domínguez sustained a low-grade left AC joint sprain.

In 10 games, the 25-year-old Jones posted a slash line of .167/.259/.167 with two RBIs.

At Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Jones has 13 homers and 48 RBIs over 43 games this season. In his career, the slugger has 85 homers and a .497 slugging percentage in five Minor League seasons.
