Yankees return to Yankee Stadium for 11-game homestand

The New York Yankees will return home for a season-long, 11-game homestand on Thursday. The stretch of games will feature a four-game series from Thurs., Aug. 9 - Sun., Aug 12 vs. the Texas Rangers, a makeup game on Mon., Aug 13 vs. the New York Mets, a three-game series from Tues. Aug 14 - Thurs., Aug. 16 vs. the Tampa Bay Rays and a three-game series from Fri., Aug. 17 - Sun., Aug. 19 vs. the Toronto Blue Jays.
From Aug. 17 - 19, the Yankees will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1998 World Championship team. Festivities include Friday's 1998 World Championship Replica Trophy presented by F.W. Webb promotion, which will be given to the first 10,000 guests in attendance. Prior to Saturday's 1:25 p.m. first pitch, members of the 1998 team will return to Yankee Stadium for an on-field reunion, and 1998 World Series Championship Replica Fan Ring Day presented by Betteridge Jewelers (to the first 10,000 guests ages 14-and-younger) will wrap up the celebration on Sunday.
The homestand will also feature the first two Yankees Batting Practice Block Parties, which will be held on Friday, Aug. 10 and Fri., Aug 17. Gates 6 and 8 will open at 4:00 p.m., and a variety of activities and special events are planned, including live DJ performances, children's activities, the opportunity to take photos with the 2009 World Series Trophy and a special "Yankees' Hands on History," featuring a Yankees game-used artifact. Ticketed guests for the Yankees' 7:05 p.m. games on those nights will be able to enjoy Yankees batting practice from the Masterpass Batter's Eye Deck, Toyota Terrace, Frank's RedHot Terrace, Bleachers and outfield sections of Yankee Stadium between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Members of the All-American Girls Baseball Professional Baseball League will be on hand to celebrate the league's 75th anniversary with a pregame ceremony and ceremonial first pitch prior to the Fri., Aug. 10 game.
On Monday, Aug. 13, the Yankees will host 2018 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Jim Furyk for a pregame ceremony. Furyk will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Please note that the Yankees Ballpark Pass will not be honored for Monday's makeup game as it was not originally scheduled to be played in August. Friday, August 10 vs. Texas: David Robertson Collectible Cup Night presented by Premio Foods to the first 25,000 guests.
Saturday, August 11 vs. Texas: Yankees Baseball Card Pack Day presented by Topps to all guests.
Wednesday, August 15 vs. Tampa Bay: Cap Night presented by Canon to the first 20,000 guests.
Thursday, August 16 vs. Tampa Bay: Luis Severino Poster Day presented by We Are Alexander to the first 10,000 guests ages 14-and-younger.
