Assistant Athletic Trainer
Brian Schulman enters his sixth season as an assistant athletic trainer with the A's after previously serving seven years at the University of California, Berkeley. At Cal, Schulman held the post of assistant athletic trainer from 2004-08 before being promoted to rehabilitation coordinator in 2009. During his stint as assistant athletic trainer, he oversaw the sports of baseball, men's water polo and women's soccer. Schulman also served previous internships with the San Francisco 49ers in 2003-04 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2000, as well as being a graduate assistant trainer at Fresno State in 2001-03. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) from the NSCA, and holds a bachelor's degree in political science from UC Santa Barbara (2001) and a Masters in kinesiology from Fresno State (2003). He resides in San Ramon, Calif. with his wife, Megan, and their two sons, Luke and Gavin.
