MILWAUKEE -- The managers of all four of the Brewers' full-season Minor League affiliates will return to their posts for 2019, the organization announced on Thursday while setting its staffs throughout the system.
The top organizational newcomers include a new pitching coordinator, Jake McKinley, who left a job at William Jessup University to replace Chris Hook after Hook was promoted to Milwaukee's Major League staff, plus three former Brewers players. Quintin Berry is the organization's new outfield and baserunning coordinator, and Jim Henderson (Class A Wisconsin) and Hiram Burgos (Rookie-level Arizona) will be pitching coaches for the first time.
The Brewers' Minor League chain is revamped for 2019, including a new Triple-A team in San Antonio and a new Rookie affiliate in the Rocky Mountain Vibes, who are taking over the site of Milwaukee's former Triple-A club. There's also an extra team in the system after the Brewers opted to add a second Rookie-level club in the Arizona League. The Brewers will also field multiple Dominican Summer League teams, sharing a second club with the Indians for a third straight year.
