Today, July 4, the Milwaukee Brewers will welcome 25 veterans on their "Tour of Honor" with the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight at Miller Park when the Crew takes on the Minnesota Twins. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the ceremony, which begins at 2:45 pm.
The veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War will be honored in a pre-game ceremony. During the ceremony, players will present each veteran with a jersey with their last name on it, celebrating their service and patriotism.
"The Milwaukee Brewers are committed to honoring those who sacrificed so much to defend our country through their service," said Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. "Independence Day and the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight organization offer a perfect opportunity for the Brewers to welcome veterans to Miller Park in a very special ceremony."
The mission of Stars and Stripes Honor Flight is to honor all veterans by flying World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans, as well as terminally ill veterans from other conflicts, to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor.
