MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers released today the trailer for this season’s docuseries “The Firemen,” with the full episode launching tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26 on YouTube and Brewers.com. The multi-episode docuseries captures the essential and pivotal role of the bullpen, a collective who through the Brewers player development program and coaching have become a source of strength for the team over the past several seasons.

The series will follow multiple players, including but not limited to Hoby Milner, Abner Uribe and Devin Williams, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the bullpen, the camaraderie shared and the challenges faced. The Milwaukee Brewers have established themselves as a club that can nurture and produce outstanding pitching, and this series will dive into the players who take on this role with pride and valor. “The Firemen” is named for the baseball colloquialism that refers to a team’s reliever who is called to “put out the fire” or stop an offensive rally.

The trailer is available now with the first episode introducing the series and introducing fans to a few familiar faces.

This is the second season the Milwaukee Brewers will produce a multi-episode long-form series in-house. Last year’s “The Freshmen,” which highlighted home-grown rookies Jackson Chourio, Sal Frelick, Garrett Mitchell, Brice Turang and Joey Wiemer, was widely welcomed by the Brewers fanbase. Fans devoured the opportunity to learn more about the players’ personalities, how they approach the game and their relationships off the field.

“Our pitching staff and players are special, and the bullpen is a tight-knit group that really pushes each other to be their best,” said Brewers Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold. “It is a group of some of the most dedicated players I have worked with. Their tenacity and passion for the game is unlike anything else, and that is a mindset that is required to take on the intensity of this position. They know they are counted on day in and day out and they take that job seriously.”

Further installments in this six-episode series will take a deeper dive into what it’s like to hold one of the most unique roles in sports, the camaraderie in the bullpen and what it takes, mentally and physically, to make it as a Major League reliever.

The series includes insight and commentary from Bob Nightengale, Major League Baseball insider and columnist for USA Today and Tyler Kepner, Senior Writer for The Athletic covering MLB and previously of the The New York Times.

Further, fans will hear from Brewers personnel including – Charlie Greene, Bullpen Coach; Daniel De Mondesert, Assistant Coach; Jim Henderson, Assistant Pitching Coach; and Walker McKinven, Run Prevention Coordinator.
