Wahlburgers restaurant, Hy-Vee, Inc. and Crescent Capital, a leading alternative asset management firm, have partnered with The Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters Local 215 to donate 1,000 meals for frontline heroes, this Thursday and Friday.

Tomorrow, Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters Local 215, along with Brewers President - Baseball Operations and General Manager David Stearns, will deliver Wahlburgers meals to frontline workers at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center. Additional deliveries over the two-day effort include Aurora West Allis Medical Center, Aurora Sinai Medical Center and Aurora St. Luke's South Shore.

Building off of the recently-launched Wahlburgers #WhateverYouNeed campaign, the restaurant brand in partnership with Crescent Capital has committed to bringing warm meals to first responders, hospital workers, nursing homes and other frontline heroes battling the COVID-19 pandemic as part of their national program. Wahlburgers is located in Milwaukee’s Third Ward and The Corners of Brookfield, and are owned and operated by Hy-Vee – the grocery chain based in West Des Moines, Iowa.

“Not being able to be fully operational these past several weeks has been heartbreaking for our entire organization. But that hasn’t stopped our commitment to supporting the communities we serve however we can,” said Mark Wahlberg, co-founder of Wahlburgers. “Partnering with Crescent Capital will allow us to give back the best way we know how, by providing warm meals to the heroes battling this virus each and every day.”

Brewers Chairman and Principal Owner Mark Attanasio is a managing partner of Crescent Capital, which he co-founded in 1991.

“Crescent is proud to partner with Wahlburgers to serve the heroes on the frontlines in Milwaukee, as well as in communities deeply impacted by the pandemic across the country,” said Mark Attanasio. “We have been so inspired by the hospital staff at Aurora, who have been tirelessly serving the community for the past several weeks, and are grateful to be able to help serve them as they keep all of us safe during this difficult time.”

“We are grateful for this donation of Wahlburgers meals to our hard-working team members,” said Carrie Killoran, president, Advocate Aurora Greater Milwaukee Patient Service Area. “Donations like this are so appreciated and show our frontline team members how much the community is thinking about us during these trying times. We’d also like to thank our partners at the Milwaukee Brewers for helping to make this donation happen.”
