PURCHASING VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES

How long is each Virtual Experience?

Virtual Experiences are expected to last approximately 45 minutes to one hour with the exception of the 2011 World Series Reunion is expected to last up to 75 minutes.

What is the cost of a Virtual Experience?

Prices for individual Virtual Experiences will range from $15 to $25.

What forms of payment are accepted?

The following forms of payment are accepted Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Paypal. Cash is not accepted since all transactions will be completed online.

When will Virtual Experiences go on sale and close?

Virtual Experiences will go on sale Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 9:00 AM CST and sales are expected to close the day prior to each scheduled event unless sold out prior to that time or as otherwise determined by Cardinals Care.

  • Friday, January 15 Virtual Experience sales are expected to close at 9:00 AM CST on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
  • Saturday, January 16 Virtual Experience sales are expected to close at 9:00 AM CST on Friday, January 15, 2021.
  • Sunday, January 17 Virtual Experience sales are expected to close at 9:00 AM CST on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
  • Monday, January 18 Virtual Experience sales are expected to close at 9:00 AM CST on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Are purchases tax deductible?

No, since you are receiving an experience in exchange for your donation, your purchase does not qualify for a tax deduction.

ACCESSING VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES

The Virtual Experiences are being conducted over the video conferencing platform, Zoom.

Once I purchase my Virtual Experience(s), how will I access the Experience(s)?

The day prior to your purchased Virtual Experience(s), you will receive an email from cardinals.com with instructions to register for the purchased experience. The registration will produce and send a personalized link, that is unique to you and not shareable, that will allow you to join the Experience on the designated date and time.

  • Friday, January 15 Virtual Experiences registration links are expected to be sent on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
  • Saturday, January 16 Virtual Experiences links are expected to be sent on Friday, January 15, 2021.
  • Sunday, January 17 Virtual Experiences links are expected to be sent on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
  • Monday, January 18 Virtual Experiences are expected to be sent on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

If I purchased more than one (1) Virtual Experience, will I receive more than one registration email?

Yes, each Virtual Experience will require a registration and therefore separate emails will be sent for each Experience and you will receive a separate personalized link for each experience you purchased.

Why do I have to register in order to take part in the Virtual Experience(s) that I purchased?

Registering for the Virtual Experience allows for only those who purchased the experience to gain access.

When should I register for each Virtual Experience?

Upon receipt of the registration link, you should register for the event so that you can receive the personalized access link. Registering quickly will allow you to make sure that you receive the link and that it works prior to the experience’s scheduled time.

What happens if I register for a Virtual Experience and do not receive a personalized access link?

Please email [email protected] with the name and email used to purchase the Virtual Experience and, after verifying your purchase, your link will be resent to you.

Do I need a Zoom account in order to access the Virtual Experience?

Yes, a Zoom account is necessary for you to access the Virtual Experience. You will not simply be able to click on the link to access the experience. If you do not yet have a free Zoom account with that email address, you may sign up at zoom.us.

Does the Zoom account used to access the Virtual Experience(s) need to match the email account I used to purchase the Experience(s)?

Yes, your registration link will be sent to the email that you used to purchase the experience and therefore must match your Zoom account.

Can I forward the link to anyone else?

No, the link is unique to you and the email address you used to register.

DURING THE VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

Will I be visible during the Virtual Experience?

No, your image and name will not be visible and you will not have the ability to talk directly to those taking part in each experience.

Can I submit a question prior to the Virtual Experience?

Yes, fill out the Virtual Experience Form to submit questions to be asked in advance.

Is it guaranteed that questions submitted via the Virtual Experience form will be asked?

No, there is no guarantee that your question will be asked based upon the number of questions that are received.

When will the Virtual Question Form close?

The Virtual Question Form is expected to close Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12 PM CST.

Will I be able to ask questions during the Virtual Experience?

There will be an opportunity for you to type a question during the Experience. Due to the volume of questions, your question may not be asked.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

What happens if a Virtual Experience is cancelled?

A refund will be automatically processed back to the credit card used when purchasing that experience. You will also receive an email confirmation of your cancelled transaction. Please allow 5-7 business days for the credit to appear on your account.

Am I able to request a refund for a Virtual Experience if a current or former player I expected to be part of the experience does not take part?

Virtual participants and moderators are subject to change and a refund will not be issued if the experience is held and an expected participant does not partake.

Am I able to request a refund for a Virtual Experience if I was unable to join due to connectivity issues or if I simply forgot to join the Experience?

No, all Virtual Experience sales are final and non-refundable. Virtual participants must have access to a suitable Internet or broadband connection. The Cardinals are not responsible for the quality of Internet or broadband connection, performance of any software or any other technical issues associated with the virtual experience.

Where do proceeds from the Virtual Experiences go?

Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit Cardinals Care, the team's charitable fund dedicated to caring for kids in the Cardinals community. Cardinals Care supports children through three key programs: (1) Redbird Rookies - our free youth baseball/softball league. (2) Building youth ball fields in under-resourced communities. (3) By distributing money to area nonprofits who work with children through an annual grant program. Learn more at cardinals.com/community.

Are there age restrictions on Virtual Experiences?

Anyone may participate in a Virtual Experience, however, minors (under the age of 18) must have consent of a parent or legal guardian.
