Cards hit a home run with Kids Sundays
Sundays are for the kids!
That’s the message the Cardinals are sending to their youngest fans in 2026 as they turn Busch Stadium’s Ford Plaza into a kids’ paradise for every Sunday home game this season.
The official launch the Sunday of Opening Weekend saw plenty of activity despite chilly temperatures, as kids took a spin with the hula hoops, checked out the coloring tables, and tried their hand at various other activities.
Even more perks planned for each Sunday: a DJ, appearances by Fredbird and Team Fredbird, and free ice cream.
The initiative also dovetails with the club’s revamped Kids Club, which this year features two membership tiers, rookie and All-Star. Both memberships come with discounts on tickets and at the team store, while the All-Star membership also features exclusive Kids Club merchandise.
Megan Eberhart, the club’s director of promotions and events, went to an expert source when she was evaluating what to include in the lineup for the Kids Club this season.
“I have three kids, and I surveyed them,” she explained to Cardinals Insider. “I asked, what do they like? What do they want to see as part of the membership this year?”
The club also examined other teams and local kids clubs to influence their direction for 2026, the results of which can be seen at cardinals.com/kidsclub.
“I just can’t wait to see these kids at the ballpark and make sure they have a memorable time at Busch Stadium,” Eberhart said.
