  • Friday, April 15 – Ichiro Suzuki, who will be inducted into the Mariners Hall of Fame in August. Ichiro will be wearing a Mariners 2001 jersey in hopes of “bringing good luck” to the 2022 Mariners.
  • Sunday, April 16 – Members of the Western Washington University women’s basketball team who went to the 2022 NCAA Division II Finals.
  • Tuesday, April 19 – Mazzy Eckel, Miss Washington USA.
  • Wednesday, April 20 – Members of the Western Washington University volleyball team, 2021 NCAA Division II Champions.
  • Thursday, April 21 – Will Dissly, Seattle Seahawks tight end, and former UW Husky standout.

Friday, April 15 vs. Astros -- Opening Day (6:42pm First Pitch)

Gate Opening Ceremony -- 4:35pm – Rick Rizzs and Dave Sims will lead a countdown to the opening of T-Mobile Park’s gates to fans. All gates open at 4:40pm. All fans will receive magnetic schedules upon entry.

Jackie Robinson Day – Mariners Opening Day is the 75th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking baseball’s color barrier when he played his first Major League game with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Mariners will join teams around the league in tribute to the trail blazer and civil rights champion. Mariners and Astros players, managers, coaches and on-field personnel will all wear “Dodger Blue” 42 numbers on their Nike jerseys in Jackie’s honor.

Hometown All-Stars -- The Mariners are inaugurating a new program, Hometown All-Stars, to recognize community members who have been instrumental in helping make the Puget Sound area a better place to live, work and play. The first Hometown All-Star to be recognized is Bookie Gates, Garfield High School and Washington State University graduate and stand-out athlete, who founded Baseball Beyond Borders, a program that helps young men and women from under-resourced communities to play baseball and softball, provides them with life skills training, and prepares them for college and careers.

Salute to Those Who Serve – The Mariners and T-Mobile are proud to highlight the service of men and women of the U.S. military. On Opening Day, the honoree will be US Navy Chief Petty Officer Matthew Lake who currently serves aboard the USS Carl Vinson, stationed at Naval Base Kitsap.

Ken Griffey Jr. Jackie Robinson #42 Bobblehead – The first 20,000 fans through the gates will receive a bobblehead commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Ken Griffey Jr. donning the #42 in honor of Jackie Robinson. This year also marks the 75th Anniversary of Robinson breaking MLB’s color barrier.

Edgar Martinez Replica Statue Night – The first 20,000 fans through the gates will take home a replica of the Edgar statue that stands outside T-Mobile Park. The statue commemorates “The Double,” one of the defining moments in team history when Edgar’s walk-off hit gave the Mariners a win over the heavily favored New York Yankees in Game 5 of the 1995 American League Division Series.

Season Ticket Member Early Access (3:40pm) – Mariners Season Ticket Members get access to T-Mobile Park before gates open to all fans by showing their Season Ticket Member ID at the Right Field Gate.

Mariners Care Silent Auction – Fans can purchase memorabilia, many items game used and or autographed, to benefit the Mariners Care Foundation. Items will be available for bidding through the 6th inning at Section 128 on the Main Level.

Little League Day – All kids, 14 and under, will receive a Mitch Haniger cap, presented by the Mariners Kids Club. Little Leaguers in uniform are invited down to the field pregame for a parade around the warning track.

Kids Club Catch in the Outfield – Members of the Mariners Kids Club will be chosen for a special postgame catch in the outfield. It’s free to sign up for Kids Club. Membership includes a free t-shirt, one free ticket to a Mariners game, Team Store discount, monthly digital newsletter, and access to exclusive opportunities like catch in the outfield.
