In April, our dream of welcoming our devoted fans back to Nationals Park came true. Although our seating capacity was limited, the energy and support delivered by our fans brought the ballpark to life.
We are now excited to share plans for welcoming all Nationals fans back for the rest of the 2021 season. In accordance with Mayor Muriel Bowser’s plans to fully reopen the District of Columbia, Nationals Park will return to 100% seating capacity beginning with our June 10 game. The health & safety of our fans will remain our top priority as an organization, and our close collaboration with health experts and the Government of the District Columbia to maintain a safe ballpark environment will continue.
In response to the Mayor’s May 17 announcement regarding mask requirements in the District of Columbia, we will be changing our face covering policy starting with our May 21 game.
Ticketed fans who are not fully vaccinated will be required to wear an approved face covering at all times, except when actively eating or drinking in their seats. Fully vaccinated fans - meaning fans two weeks past their final shot – will be able to attend the upcoming games without wearing an approved face covering. This applies to all fans regardless of whether they are seated indoors or outdoors. Please see below for information regarding acceptable face coverings at the ballpark.
We thank you for your patience and understanding in following these guidelines during this unprecedented time. Welcome home, fans.
