All-Star Readers – Read with the Nationals next summer!
The Nationals are proud to promote reading and literacy in the community through a number of initiatives. Join the Nationals roster of All-Star Summer Readers by attending Story Time events and completing Summer Reading with the Nationals’ library partners. Follow the links below for more information!
Families join the Washington Nationals on select Sundays for pregame programming featuring their favorite players. During this program, families read along with a Nationals player and receive free books and literacy materials that encourage families to read together after the game.
In addition to the read along, kids participate in literacy-focused activities in partnership with local libraries and other educational institutions. This program is free to anyone with a ticket to the day’s game and provides early entrance to the ballpark for families.
The Washington Nationals partner with library systems across the DMV area to bring the joys of reading to as many people as possible! Libraries across the DMV run summer reading programs that fall during the baseball season. These programs incentivize kids to read and track their progress over the summer. The Washington Nationals leverage the love of baseball to support a sense of accomplishment that can motivate kids to read regularly.
Fans who complete their local library’s summer reading program are eligible to select up to two (2) complimentary Upper Gallery tickets for a 2026 regular season game at Nationals Park.
