Everyone can get in on the fun this summer by participating in DC Public Library's Summer Challenge! By reading just 20 minutes each day, whether it is a book, magazine or blog, you can keep your mind engaged while also earning prizes. The Library is also hosting special programs for readers of all ages throughout the summer!
The Washington Nationals are proud to partner with library systems across the D.C. metro area to bring the joys of reading to as many people as possible. Participants who successfully complete their local library’s summer reading program will receive two free tickets to a future Nationals game!

Enjoy the summer with reading and baseball! The Washington Nationals and Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) are proud to provide creative ways for Prince Georgians to stay connected with baseball and reading. The Nationals and PGCMLS are partnering to present “Tails and Tales,” an animal themed “Summer @ Your Library” ([email protected]) program for all ages that runs through August 20.
Fairfax County Public Library helps make reading fun by providing tools, access and incentives during the Summer Reading Adventure. The Summer Reading Adventure runs June 12 through August 14 and invites all children and teens—birth through high school—to read for fun over the summer.

Kids and teens, ages birth through 18, are invited to sign up for Alexandria Library's SummerQuest program, running now through September 6. MCPL's Summer Read and Learn program offers kids and teens a chance to fill their summer with great books and fun activities. Read books, do fun learning activities, and attend virtual events all summer long. You'll earn badges and prizes and enjoy fun raffles!
Join the Loudoun County Public Library Summer Reading Program! Register online starting June 16th! Complete 16 age-specific challenges and receive a free book! Special programs premier virtually, every Wednesday at 1pm throughout the summer. Visit a branch for fantastic in-person programs for all ages.
