The reading incentive program SummerQuest 2022: Oceans of Possibilities is geared to all ages. SummerQuest Jr. provides early literacy opportunities for babies to rising kindergarteners, SummerQuest is geared toward rising first to fifth graders and SummerQuest Teen is for rising sixth through 12th graders. And there is a program for adults too! The program affords the opportunity to earn points between June 1 and August 31, 2022, by reading or completing activities listed on the SummerQuest webpage. Everyone who completes the SummerQuest program and comes in to an Alexandria Library location can redeem their prize of 2 Washington Nationals ticket vouchers, books and more!

MCPLās Summer Reading Challenge! offers kids and teens a chance to fill their summer with great books and fun activities. By completing missions, participants can help MCPL and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation preserve the Chesapeake Bay watershed, clean up the Chesapeake Bay, and provide healthy habitats for Chesapeake Bay animals.
