Base HIIT is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout utilizing the Nationals Park field, warning track, bullpens and stadium steps. The workout is specifically designed for military service members, and it includes 9 stations of 5-minute workouts, including push-ups, stair running, agilities, shuttle run, shadow boxing, medicine ball exercises and core strength work. The Nationals host several Base HIIT workouts throughout the year. For more information, please email communityrelations@nationals.com.
Base HIIT Event Information
Timeline:
0715 Arrive at Nationals Park Parking Garage C and proceed to the field
0730 Welcome and warm-up
0745 HIIT Workout: 9 stations of 5-minute workouts, with 90 seconds transition between stations
0845 Cooldown in center field
0900 Event concludes
Free parking will be provided in Garage C, located on the corner of First Street SE and N Street SE. Participants should park here and then enter through the Center Field Gate for screening and access.
PT gear and flat sole shoes should be worn. Cleats will not be permitted.
