Nationals Park to host Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind's 2nd annual Light the Way 5K

Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (CLB) will host its second annual "Light the Way 5K" event on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Nationals Park.

The event is designed to expand awareness for the comprehensive range of programs and services offered through CLB to people of all ages who are visually impaired or blind, enabling them to maintain independent lives.

Mark D. Lerner, one of the principal owners of the Washington Nationals, will co-chair the event alongside Steve Neibergall, President of Safeway's Eastern Division.

Participants may register for the event at www.clb.org. The first 500 people to register by September 15 will receive one ticket to the Nationals-Dodgers game on September 20, 2012. This year's program will also feature a silent auction with exciting items up for bid, including a Nationals Grand Slam experience package.
