Thank you for your interest in Strike Out Slavery Day and the postgame concert with Nick Jonas. This year's event was Thursday, August 23. Check back in 2019 for more information on next year's Strike Out Slavery Day.
The Nationals and player ambassador, Stephen Strasburg, dedicated August 23 to raising awareness for Strike Out Slavery. The day included a pregame awareness festival on the Nationals Park concourse and a postgame concert on the field. Strike Out Slavery was created by Albert Pujols and his wife, Deidre, in 2017 with the mission to spread awareness about modern slavery and help an international network of nonprofit organizations rally against it.
