Injury: Stress fracture in left foot
Expected return: 2027
Holliday will undergo surgery for a stress fracture in his left foot and miss the remainder of the season, a source told MLB.com's Thomas Harding on May 29. No. 21 Thomas White, LHP, Marlins
Injury: Left shoulder capsular sprain
Expected return: Mid-August to September
The 21-year-old landed on the Minor League IL back on May 20, before it was revealed he'd be down for the next 12-to-16 weeks due to a left shoulder capsular sprain. White had the start of his season delayed due to an oblique strain, before returning to strike out 35 batters in 24 2/3 frames across two levels. (Last updated: June 5)

No. 28 Aidan Miller, SS, Phillies
Injury: Back discomfort
Expected return: 6-8 weeks
Miller was diagnosed with discogenic pain and facet inflammation in the lumbar spine, and he will undergo a minimally invasive procedure called a radiofrequency ablation of the facet joints. The issue first flared up last year, when Miller missed the final few games of the 2025 Minor League season and was pulled from participating in the Arizona Fall League due to similar discomfort. Back pain returned when he resumed baseball activities in May. He will undergo the procedure on June 5 and rest for one week before returning to his rehab. The goal is for the 21-year-old to return to game activity in six to eight weeks. More » (Last updated: June 3)

No. 31 Kaelen Culpepper, SS, Twins
Injury: Glute strain
Expected return: TBD
A promising opening two months of the season that put Culpepper on a path toward the Majors has been temporarily derailed. Triple-A St. Paul placed the 23-year-old on the 7-day IL with a recurrence of the glute injury that sidelined him for 12 days last month. Culpepper originally went on the IL on June 16 and returned on June 28, appearing in two games before leaving his June 30 contest after being hit on the hand. He hasn't played since, but the move to the injured list is related to the strain he suffered in mid-June. The 2024 first-rounder was slashing .272/.376/.492 with 26 extra-base hits, 14 homers and 43 RBIs in 63 games for St. Paul. (Last updated: July 7)

No. 34 Travis Sykora, RHP, Nationals
Injury: Torn UCL
Expected return: Potentially late 2026
After an MRI unveiled a torn UCL, the right-hander underwent UCL reconstruction last August. The 21-year-old had been one of the Minor Leagues' most dominant pitchers last season, registering a 1.79 ERA across 12 starts while reaching Double-A. (Last updated: Feb. 26)

No. 36 Robby Snelling, LHP, Marlins
Injury: Left elbow UCL sprain
Expected return: TBD
Snelling will undergo left elbow surgery on May 22. The southpaw landed on the 15-day injured list on May 13, just five days after his Major League debut. Miami manager Clayton McCullough said Snelling reported some discomfort after a May 12 bullpen session. Imaging revealed a UCL sprain in his throwing elbow, and he was moved to the 60-day injured list. The 22-year-old had a 1.86 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 29 innings at Triple-A this season and gave up three runs over five innings in his lone big league outing. (Last updated: May 21)

No. 39 Aiva Arquette, SS, Marlins
Injury: Left thumb
Expected return: Late August
The Marlins' 2025 first-round pick was placed on the 7-day injured list on July 1 due to a left thumb injury, sources told MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. The 22-year-old has sustained several injuries during his first full professional season -- he didn’t make his 2026 debut until April 28 because of offseason core muscle surgery, then dealt with right wrist soreness a few days later. Arquette has hit .240/.297/.462 with nine homers, two triples, seven doubles, 36 RBIs, 27 runs and 12 steals in 41 games between High-A Beloit and Double-A Pensacola. More » (Last updated: July 1)

No. 47 Jarlin Susana, RHP, Nationals
Injury: Lat surgery
Expected return: TBD
Susana has started to throw off the mound at the Nationals Spring Training complex and is on track with his recovery timeline. The 22-year-old underwent lat surgery the week of Sept. 8 last year. He had been limited to 56 1/3 innings in 2025 due to a Grade 1 UCL sprain in his elbow he suffered on May 4, then a right lat injury suffered on Aug. 30, which ended his season. Susana was a non-roster invite to Nationals big league camp this spring, but he did not compete in Grapefruit League action. (Last updated: June 12)

No. 54 Emmanuel Rodriguez, OF, Twins
Injury: Left thumb
Expected return: TBD
Rodriguez is headed to surgery to repair a left thumb injury he sustained while sliding back to first base on a pickoff attempt during Triple-A St. Paul's contest on May 1. The club officially placed him on the 7-day injured list on May 6. The 23-year-old missed time in 2024 due to a right thumb sprain, while other injuries (knee, oblique) have long sidetracked his progress. Through 25 games this season, he posted a .923 OPS. No. 56 Nate George, OF, Orioles
Injury: Undisclosed illness
Expected return: TBD
George has been on the IL since May 7 due to an undisclosed illness. Orioles president of baseball operations Mike Elias said the 19-year-old will miss some time but it is not expected to be a long-term issue. George was off to a strong start, slashing .293/.372/.366 with 15 stolen bases in his first 20 games for High-A Frederick. (Last updated: May 19)

No. 58 Dax Kilby, SS, Yankees
Injury: Hamstring
Status: Began rehab assignment
The 39th overall pick in last year's Draft saw his first game action of the season as he commenced a rehab assignment with the FCL Yankees on Friday. Kilby got the start at shortstop and made 2 plate appearances -- working a walk and scoring -- before exiting the game in the fourth inning. The 19-year-old has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury. Kilby slashed .353/.457/.441 with 16 stolen bases, 19 runs scored and nine RBIs over the first 18 games of his career for the Tarpons last season after being taken in the first round of the Draft. No. 67 River Ryan, RHP, Dodgers
Injury: Hamstring
Expected return: TBD
The sixth-ranked Dodgers prospect has been slowed by injuries throughout his pro career, however, this latest setback is being deemed as not "overly serious" by L.A.'s general manager Brandon Gomes. After missing time with a hamstring issue earlier this season, Ryan felt a twinge in his hamstring after his last start on June 17 against Triple-A Sacramento and the club decided to skip his next scheduled start. Rather than skip another turn in the rotation, the organization decided an IL stint would be the most prudent path for the right-hander's recovery. (Last updated: June 27)

No. 79 Carlos Lagrange, RHP, Yankees
Injury: Right capsular sprain (shoulder)
Expected return: TBD
The Yankees' hard-throwing right-hander landed on the 7-day injured list with a capsular sprain of his right shoulder on July 2 and will be shut down from throwing for approximately six weeks. Lagrange, who has consistently exceeded triple digits with his fastball, was shifted to a relief role in June as a means of potentially expediting his arrival to the big leagues. He posted a 4.55 ERA across his first 16 outings (eight starts) for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and struck out 83 batters in 63 1/3 innings. More » (Last updated: July 3)

No. 87 Seaver King, SS, Nationals
Injury: Left oblique
Expected return: TBD
The 2024 first-rounder was placed on the 7-day injured list on July 3, following an early exit from the club's contest on July 1. After striking out in the first inning, King appeared to grab his left side and hobble back to the dugout. Rochester manager Matthew LeCroy mentioned in a press conference that it was the 23-year-old's oblique and that he doesn't "think it's that bad." King was amid his best season as a pro prior to the injury. Through 68 games, he was slashing .306/.385/.504 with 10 homers and leading all full-season Nationals prospects in batting average.
