Yankees Probable Pitchers

Cole enters this matchup of aces having made Yankees history through his first four starts. The righty is the only Yankees pitcher to tally 39 or more strikeouts with three or fewer walks through any four-start span.

Bieber has notched 11 or more strikeouts in each of his first four starts, fanning 48 over that stretch. The last time he went head-to-head with Cole was in Game 1 of the 2020 American League Wild Card Series, in which Bieber allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings of a loss.

Taillon was sharp in his Tuesday outing, limiting the Braves to one run and four hits over five innings -- his best effort thus far as a Yankee. Taillon struck out five in an 80-pitch performance and could throw 90-95 pitches this time out.

Last time out, McKenzie allowed one run on five hits and four walks while striking out seven over a season-high five innings vs. the Reds. In his only career appearance against the Yankees, he allowed two runs in 1 2/3 innings in Game 2 of the 2020 AL Wild Card Series.

García will be recalled from the alternate training site to make his season debut. Rated as the Yanks' No. 3 prospect by MLB Pipeline, García has been working on his slider command and will be looking for opportunities to incorporate it against the Orioles.

Harvey earned his first victory since July 2019 his last time out, logging five innings against the Marlins. The right-hander has struck out 16 and walked just three across 19 1/3 innings this season.

Kluber is looking to complete five innings for the first time as a Yankee. Kluber tossed 91 pitches over 4 2/3 innings last time out, holding the Braves to two runs and two hits. Command has been an issue for Kluber, with 11 walks in 15 innings.

Zimmermann has taken the loss in his last two starts after posting quality starts in his first two outings of the year. The rookie left-hander has completed at least five innings in three of his four starts this season.

Germán is coming off his first win since September 2019, having held the Indians to three runs (two earned) over six innings on April 22. Germán worked on his fastball command and recorded six strikeouts against one walk in Cleveland.

The Orioles sent Kremer to their alternate training site on April 18 to create short-term bullpen flexibility, and also because the righty struggled to pitch deep into games. He's yet to complete five innings in any of his three starts this season.
