What is the Cardinals Care Winter Warm-Up (WWU)?

The Cardinal Care Winter Warm-Up is an annual fan fest hosted by Cardinals Care, the charitable arm of the St. Louis Cardinals. The largest fundraising event each year, the Winter Warm-Up features access to past, present and future Cardinal players, coaches, broadcasters and front office personnel through Main Stage interviews, Q&A sessions, and autograph stations. Family friendly activities such as a tour of the Cardinals Clubhouse and a visit to the world class Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum are also included in the Winter Warm-Up experience. The event also features exclusive live auction items, silent auctions, and an exhibit hall full of sports memorabilia treasures.

Is the WWU a fundraiser?

Yes. Funds raised during the Winter Warm-Up benefit the team’s community foundation Cardinals Care in its mission of caring for kids.

Where will the 2023 Cardinals Care WWU take place?

How do I obtain a refund?

All Admission Tickets and Autograph Ticket sales are final. If the Winter Warm-Up is canceled for any reason, refunds will automatically be issued to the credit card used at time of purchase. Refunds will also be automatically issued for Autograph Tickets purchased for any individual who doesn’t sign at the event.

Where do I park at the 2023 Cardinals Care WWU?

There are several parking options available near Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village.

Parking will also be available in the Starr Lot for $5 per day (+ fees) and can be purchased at the lot each day of the event by following these steps:

  1. Download the Passport Parking App from the App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Create Account
  3. Enter Zone Number 930 – STARR LOT
  4. Add Vehicle and Payment Method
  5. Make Payment

Parking will be available for $15 in the Stadium East and Stadium West Parking Garages each day of the event. Fans can secure parking in the Stadium East and Stadium West Parking Garages in advance for $10 per day via iparkit.com or the iparkit App.

Is a ticket required for entry?

Yes. A ticket is required for entry into Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. Entry policies will be provided soon.

When do Admission Tickets go on sale?

Three-day tickets go on sale on Friday, November 25, 2022. Single-day tickets will go on sale in January 6, 2023.

How much do Admission Tickets cost?

Three-day tickets cost $50 for adults (fans age 16 and older) & $25 for children (fans age 4 to 15). Single-day tickets cost $25 for adults & $15 for children. Children under 4 are free.

A complimentary single-day ticket will be available while supplies last for active military members and first responders who provide a valid ID each day of the event. Tickets can be obtained on each day of the Winter Warm-Up at the Busch Stadium ticket windows located on 8th street.

Single-day tickets will go on sale January 6, 2023.

Active military members and first responders with valid military/first responder ID can visit the Busch Stadium ticket windows on 8th Street (next to Gate 3) on the day of the event they wish to attend to receive one (1) complimentary ticket. Tickets are available as long as supplies last. Advance complimentary tickets are not available.

What is included in the Admission Tickets?

Admission Tickets include access to Busch Stadium (Silent Auctions, Cardinals Care Store, Exhibit Hall, Clubhouse Tour, Family-friendly Activities) and Ballpark Village (Main Stage Entertainment, Presentation Room, Premium Exhibitor and Photo Booths, Premium Vendor Booths, Cardinals Hall of Fame & Museum, Family-friendly Activities). New for 2023 – Clubhouse Tours and entry into the Cardinals Hall of Fame & Museum are included with Winter Warm-Up admission.

Please note access to autograph locations are limited to Autograph Ticket holders only.

Where do I purchase Admission Tickets?

Admission Tickets can be purchased at cardinals.com/wwu and at the Cardinals Box Office 8th Street Ticket Windows during regular business hours starting Monday, November 28, 2022. Single day tickets will be available for purchase both online and at the Cardinals Box Office starting January 6, 2023. All tickets will be delivered electronically via the MLB Ballpark app.

Cardinals Box Office Hours are as follows:

  • Open: Monday – Friday (10:00am-4:00pm)
  • Open during WWU Hours

How do I access Admission Tickets once they have been purchased?

Download the MLB Ballpark app to your mobile device to access your Admission Tickets. The Ballpark App must be connected to the email address you provided when purchasing the tickets. Three-day ticket purchasers will receive a digital ticket for each day of the WWU.

I purchased a Clubhouse Tour Photo, how will I get my ticket?

Your ticket for the Clubhouse Tour Photo will be delivered via the Ballpark App and will show up as a separate ticket from your WWU Admission Ticket. Clubhouse Tour Photos will also be available for purchase at the event.

Can I still purchase a Clubhouse Tour Photo in advance?

What is an Autograph Ticket?

An Autograph Ticket provides fans the opportunity to obtain an autograph from current & former players, coaches, broadcasters, and front office leadership. Some Autograph Tickets must be purchased via a donation to Cardinals Care.

Why is a donation required for some Autograph Tickets?

WWU is the largest fundraising effort organized by Cardinals Care. All proceeds benefit Redbird Rookies, the Cardinals Care Youth Ballfield Program and charitable grants to community groups who help kids.

When do Autograph Tickets go on sale?

Autograph Tickets will go on sale Monday, December 12 at 12:00 PM CT. Check cardinals.com/wwu often for the latest autograph schedules and information on Autograph Ticket availability.

Where do I purchase Autograph Tickets?

Autograph Tickets can be purchased at cardinals.com/wwu or at the Cardinals Box Office during regular business hours starting Tuesday, December 13. All Autograph Tickets will be delivered electronically via the MLB Ballpark app. Please note, an Admission Ticket and an Autograph Ticket is required to access autograph signing locations.

Will Free Autograph Tickets be available?

Yes. Free Autograph Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one free ticket per order. Free Autograph Tickets will be available to order starting January 6, 2023 at 10 AM CT.

Where do I order Free Autograph Tickets?

Free Autograph Tickets can only be ordered at cardinals.com/wwu. Please note, an Admission Ticket and an Autograph Ticket are required to access autograph signing locations.

How do I access Free Autograph Tickets once they have been ordered?

Download the MLB Ballpark app to your mobile device to access your Free Autograph Ticket. The MLB Ballpark app must be connected to the email address you provided when purchasing the tickets.

What items can I bring to get signed?

Most players will sign items including but not limited to baseballs, photos, posters, bats, gloves, jerseys, seat backs, hats, helmets and bases. Please note that it is up to each player as to what he will or will not sign. Please see our Security Policy (link to Security Policy section) for restricted items.

How many items can I bring to get signed?

Autographs are limited to one item per Autograph Ticket.

Can I take photos with those signing?

Due to the time restrictions and number of fans who want autographs, posed photos with those signing are prohibited.

How do I know when certain individuals will be signing?

Please refer to the Autograph Schedule.

When should I line up for my Autograph Opportunity?

Autograph Tickets will include a line number. You should arrive at the designated autograph location when your number is announced. Fans will not be permitted to line up early for autograph opportunities.

Can I bring a guest in line with me?

Autograph Ticket holders are allowed to bring one guest to the autograph location.

How long do most autograph signings last?

The majority of autograph signings are on one day for one or two straight hours.

Are Autograph Tickets transferable?

Paid Autograph Tickets are transferable. Free Autograph Tickets are NOT transferable. See MLB Ballpark app for information on how to transfer tickets.

What if I miss a signing time?

All tickets are non-refundable. The ticket holder must be present at the designated autograph time to receive an autograph. If the signing time is missed, the opportunity is lost.

What if I have Autograph Tickets for individuals who are signing during the same time frame?

If you have Autograph Tickets for individuals who are signing during the same time frame, please see a volunteer for assistance.

What if I have questions about how to use the MLB Ballpark app?

I purchased an autograph ticket for a pre-signed baseball. Where do I pick up my baseball?

Fans who purchase an autograph ticket for a pre-signed baseball can pick up their baseball in the Cardinals Care Store. Fans must present their autograph ticket to be scanned upon pick up.

What is the Cardinals Care Winter Warm-Up 50/50 Raffle?

The Cardinals Care Winter Warm-Up 50/50 Raffle is a chance for fans to test their luck all while making a difference in our community. The Winter Warm-Up Raffle will open on Friday, November 25, 2022 and remain open until 3:00 p.m. CT on Monday, January 16, 2023 with the winner receiving 50% of the total pot! The other half will help support Cardinals Care’s work with youth in the local community.

Cardinals Care Auction and Store

What is the Cardinals Care Store?

The Cardinals Care Store features treasures like game-used hats and jerseys, photos and other unique collectibles. The Cardinals Care Store is not an outside vendor. Proceeds raised through purchases at the Cardinals Store benefit Cardinals Care.

The Cardinals Care Store is located inside Busch Stadium at Cunningham Corner. Fans can access Cunningham Corner on Level 2 by proceeding up the escalators at Gate 4. Once inside Busch Stadium, fans can access elevators to level 2 across from section 156 near Gate 3.

What are Cardinals Care Silent Auctions?

Cardinals Care Silent Auctions feature autographed items including baseballs, jerseys, photos and more! Fans can see the items on display in the Champions Club located inside Busch Stadium in the UMB Champions Club and online at cardinals.com/wwu. Fans can access UMB Champions Club on Level 2 by proceeding up the escalators at Gate 4. Once inside Busch Stadium, fans can access elevators to level 2 across from section 156 near Gate 3.

Silent Auctions will run 9 AM until 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and 9 AM to 1 PM on Monday.

Net proceeds from Silent Auction sales benefit Cardinals Care.

How do I bid on Silent Auction Items?

Autographed memorabilia will be available for fans to bid on via the cardinals.com/wwu during the Silent Auction each day of the Winter Warm-Up.

Where do I pick up Silent Auction Items I win?

Silent Auction winners can either opt to have their item shipped during the online check out process, or they claim their items in the UMB Champions Club between 4 PM and 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and between 2 PM and 3 PM on Monday.

Will there be Live Auctions?

Yes, Live Auctions will take place on the Main Stage. See Main Stage Schedule for Live Auction times.

Entry Procedures

Where can I enter Winter Warm-Up?

There will be five entrances for Winter Warm-Up, one at Busch Stadium and four at Ballpark Village/Cardinals Nation.

Busch Stadium Entrance

  • Gate 4 located on Clark Street

Cardinals Nation/Ballpark Village Entrances

  • Ballpark Village South Entrance located on Clark Street facing Busch Stadium
  • Ballpark Village North Entrance located on Cardinal Way
  • Cardinals Nation Authentics Entrance
  • Cardinals Nation Restaurant

High traffic is anticipated for the Ballpark Village South Entrance. Fans are encouraged to use all entrances to enter Winter Warm- Up to help alleviate lines and allow for a smooth entry process.

Will I need to show my ticket each day when first entering Winter Warm-Up?

Yes, you will need to show your ticket from the MLB Ballpark app on your smartphone for each day of the Winter Warm-Up upon entering the event each day. Your ticket will be scanned at your first point of entry whether at Busch Stadium or Ballpark Village. You will then receive a wristband for that day that will allow you to move between venues.

Why do I need to wear a wristband when attending Winter Warm-Up?

After having your ticket scanned each day that you attend Winter Warm-Up, you will receive a wristband specific to the day. Once a ticket is scanned for entry, it cannot be scanned again. The wristband shows that you have been granted access to Winter Warm-Up that day and you are able to move between Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village.

What is the Security Policy for Winter Warm-Up?

Guest safety is a priority for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care. The screening program and inspection policy at Busch Stadium and at Ballpark Village for Winter Warm-Up is an important part of making the event a safe environment for our guests. Please review our inspection policy below to help you prepare to attend Winter Warm-Up.

During Winter Warm-Up, the walk through metal detectors at all entrances to Winter Warm-Up at Busch Stadium, Ballpark Village and Cardinals Nation will be used to ensure the safety of all guests. Guests in wheelchairs and those with medical devices that may set off the detector are subject to alternative screening methods. Guests are required to have their bags inspected prior to entering the event.
The screening/inspection process will occur each time a fan enters through a Winter Warm-Up entrance to ensure the safety of all those attending the event.

Guests may bring in items such as bags, purses and items that, if an autograph ticket is held, are able to get signed while attending Winter Warm-Up. Guests are encouraged to limit the number of bags and items to get signed to the number of autograph tickets held to ensure a smoother entry process for all guests.
Guests with strollers are welcome; however, the use of strollers should not interfere with other guests or block entryways or aisles.

Prohibited items include but are not limited to the following items:

  • Alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beer
  • Aluminum containers, glass bottles/items, metal cans, thermoses
  • Animals (with the exception of service dogs or other service animals trained to perform work or tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability or other service animal expressly authorized under applicable law)
  • Guests are encouraged to limit bags for stadium and Ballpark Village entry. All bags will be inspected upon entry regardless of whether you have already entered a Winter Warm-Up facility that day and have a wristband.
  • Balloons, beach balls and other inflatables
  • Brooms
  • Chairs, stools, including bleacher seats with backs
  • Commercial camera equipment (lenses longer than length of the camera body), including video cameras, tripods and monopods
  • Containers - aerosol cans (i.e. hairspray, sunscreen), aluminum or glass cans and bottles, flasks, non-factory sealed plastic bottles larger than 2 liters, thermoses
  • Coolers - hard-sided and Styrofoam coolers, soft-sided coolers larger than 10" x 8" x 10", hard plastic inserts for soft-sided coolers
  • Drones
  • Face paint, costume masks, and any other costume that covers the head/face
  • Firearms
  • Fireworks
  • Flag poles, PVC pipe and other poles
  • Flasks
  • Hover boards/skate boards/roller skates, roller blades
  • Illegal substances
  • Knives longer than 4 inches when unopened
  • Laser pointers/lights
  • Luggage
  • Noisemakers of any kind, including, but not limited to air horns, cowbells, and Thunderstix
  • Obscene, offensive, or indecent clothing

Exceptions may be made to the above list and are at the discretion of Busch Stadium Management and Event Staff Personnel.

The St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care reserve the right to deny entry to a guest if management feels an item may be a hazard to the safety of other guests and/or employees. The Cardinals and Cardinals Care appreciate that all guests adhere to the above list and work together with stadium personnel so everyone can enjoy the event.

The group of volunteers walk down the aisles of the seating bowl in-between innings collecting recyclables from fans and promoting recycling at Busch Stadium. In exchange for your services, you're able to watch the game in standing room only sections of Busch Stadium as collections are only done in-between innings and during pitching changes so as not to disturb fans trying to watch the game.

What are Family Friendly Fan Experiences?

The Winter Warm-Up is a family-friendly event that includes fun experiences for fans of all ages. New for 2023, admission to the Winter Warm-Up includes complimentary admission to the world-class Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum, an exclusive tour of the Cardinals Clubhouse, tours of One Cardinal Way, and access to kid-friendly activities in the Redbird Club.

How do I access the Cardinals Clubhouse Tour?

Fans with an admission ticket to the Winter Warm-Up can access the Cardinals Clubhouse Tour through the Redbird Club on the third level of Busch Stadium. Event staff will direct fans where to go from there. The Clubhouse Tour is a self-guided experience that will be open during regular hours of the event each day. No additional ticket is required for this experience.

How do I access the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum?

Fans with an admission ticket to the Winter Warm-Up can enter the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum on the 2nd floor of Cardinals Nation at Ballpark Village. No additional ticket is required for this experience.

How do I access the One Cardinal Way Tour?

Fans with an admission ticket to the Winter Warm-Up can access the One Cardinal Tour by visiting the One Cardinal Way booth on the North side of Bally Sports Live in Ballpark Village. No additional ticket is required for this experience.

What other kid-friendly activities are available at the Winter Warm-Up?

The Magic House, Saint Louis Science Center and St. Louis County Library will have kid friendly activities available at their respective booths in the Exhibit Hall, located in the Redbird Club at Busch Stadium. Additionally, kids can get their faces painted and get a balloon sculpture from one of the roaming balloon artists in the Exhibit Hall. These activities are included in the price of admission.

Will there be food and beverage available at the Winter Warm-Up?

There are several dining options available at Ballpark Village during Winter Warm-Up including:

  • Cardinals Nation Restaurant and Bar - Accessible to WWU ticket holders ONLY during WWU hours
  • Bally Sports Live! – Accessible to WWU ticket holders ONLY during WWU hours.
    • Reservations will be available starting at 11 AM each day and are limited to two hours. There is a $30 minimum per person requirement. Please contact [email protected] to make a reservation.

Fredbird Photo Opportunity Tickets

What is the Fredbird Photo Opportunity?

Another new feature of the Winter Warm-Up is a professional photo opportunity with the team’s beloved mascot, Fredbird! The ticketed opportunity includes a reserved time-frame for up to four (4) people to pose for a picture with Fredbird, backdrop, a 5x7 souvenir photo, and an online password protected gallery where fans can download their favorite shots. A ticket is required for this opportunity and can be purchased at cardinals.com/wwu. Please note a Fredbird Photo Opportunity ticket does not grant entry into Winter Warm-Up. Fans must have an admission ticket to enter the event to redeem their photo opportunity ticket.

How much are tickets for the Fredbird Photo Opportunity?

Tickets for this opportunity are $25 and can be purchased at cardinals.com/wwu. Please note one ticket is good for up to four (4) people to pose with Fredbird. Limit two (2) tickets per transaction.

When is the Fredbird Photo Opportunity?

Time slots will be available on each day of the Winter Warm-Up. The schedule is as follows:

When should I line up for the Fredbird Photo Opportunity?

Fans holding numbers past 51 should listen for when their number is announced to join the line.

Does every person in the photo receive a print?

No, only one (1) 5X7 print will be provided. However, fans who purchased photos will have access to a password protected online gallery where they can download their photo.

I purchased a hotel package that includes 2023 WWU tickets. When will I receive my tickets?

Fans who purchase a hotel package that includes 2023 WWU tickets will received the tickets via the MLB Ballpark App no later than January 6, 2023. Fans can print off a certificate to present as a holiday gift here.

I purchased a hotel package that includes a Cardinals game ticket voucher. When will I receive my ticket voucher for the 2023 season?

Fans who purchase a hotel package that includes Cardinals game ticket vouchers will receive their vouchers via the email provided when purchasing the package by the end of January 2023. Those vouchers can be redeemed starting mid-March 2023 by visiting cardinals.com/vouchers.

Mobility Devices (Wheelchairs, Mobility Scooters, Segways)

Manual and motorized wheelchairs and four-wheeled mobility scooters that are required as mobility devices for a person with a disability are permitted in Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. In addition, manually powered aids such as walkers, crutches, canes, braces, and other similar devices are permitted. Individuals using wheelchairs or manual mobility aids do not require permission to enter and safely operate in Busch Stadium.

Some other (non-wheelchair) power-driven mobility devices, such as Segway® PT, may be permitted, provided the patron provide a credible assurance that the device is used because of a disability and meet all other requirements for use in Busch Stadium. The Cardinals will consider such requests on an individual basis, taking into account the type, size, weight, dimensions and speed of the device and whether the device may be safely operated in Busch Stadium in accordance with safety requirements and without a substantial risk of serious harm to other individuals in the stadium or the facility itself. The Cardinals have determined that the following transportation devises cannot be safely operated by members of the general public during events at in Busch Stadium:

  • E-scooters, go-peds, powered skateboards, hoverboards, and powered unicycles;
  • Golf carts and all gas combustible powered devices; and
  • Skateboards, onewheels, kick scooters, bicycles, unicycles and roller skates.

The Cardinals recommend that individuals requesting such accommodation for use of alternative power-driven mobility devices contact the Cardinals by emailing [email protected] in advance of attending the ticketed event. Otherwise, individuals may request permission for use of a power-driven or other mobility devices by making a request through an usher or gate attendant. The Cardinals, in no event, will be responsible for the use and storage of any transportation device. If the requested device is not permitted for use in Busch Stadium, the Cardinals will provide an alternative accommodation, such as assistance by wheelchair or authorized golf cart.

Service Animals

Fans with an admission ticket to the Winter Warm-Up can access the Cardinals Clubhouse Tour through the Redbird Club on the third level of Busch Stadium. Event staff will direct fans where to go from there. The Clubhouse Tour is a self-guided experience that will be open during regular hours of the event each day. No additional ticket is required for this experience.
