What is the difference between a Theme Ticket and a promotion or giveaway?

Theme Tickets are special tickets for select games throughout the season. They provide an opportunity for fans with shared interests to enjoy a game together at Busch Stadium. In order to receive access to Theme Ticket items or exclusive game-day activities, fans MUST purchase a Theme Ticket. In addition to exclusive elements for Theme Ticket buyers, a Theme Night may also include some ballpark-wide entertainment, which can be enjoyed by all fans.

Cardinals promotions and giveaways do not require a special ticket purchase. Most events are open to all fans (some with limited availability), and giveaway items are distributed to a limited number of fans who enter the ballpark, as long as they meet certain criteria (e.g. kids 15 and younger, 30,000 adults 16 and older, etc.)

How do I purchase a Theme Ticket?

You may purchase a Theme Ticket through the following avenues:

Didn't Theme Tickets used to come with a separate voucher? I didn't receive one.

Starting in 2022, your game ticket will be used for both entry to the gates and redemption for your Theme giveaway. Your ticket will indicate the item included and distribution time. Season Ticket Holders and fans who upgrade to a Theme Ticket after initial purchase will still receive a separate voucher.

Do all Theme Nights have an exclusive giveaway item?

Each Theme Night is unique. Most Theme Ticket events include a giveaway item. Some Theme Nights only consist of a special ticket discount and/or experience.

Is everyone who purchases a Theme Ticket eligible to receive the exclusive giveaway item?

Yes - Fans are guaranteed the item (size/color specific) printed on their Theme voucher. Please check your item for damages at the ballpark, and return to distribution or Guest Relations if your item is damaged or broken. We cannot guarantee replacement of the item after the night of the game.

How do I pick up my Theme Ticket giveaway item?

Fans that purchase a Theme Ticket will receive a game ticket that indicates the item and/or size of Theme item included. Theme Tickets no longer feature a separate voucher. The ticket should be redeemed at the pre-game distribution for the Theme item. Please check your Theme Ticket or voucher for specific pickup instructions. Distribution is typically held in the Budweiser Terrace, across from Section 431, but may vary for different events. Items must be picked up by 45 minutes after scheduled first pitch.

What if I already have a ticket to the game (or Ballpark Pass) and want the Theme Ticket item?

You may purchase a Theme voucher to supplement your tickets by calling 314-345-9000. Theme voucher purchase is limited to the quantity of tickets that you have for the game. Vouchers are only available via phone in advance, and may also be purchased at box office on the day of the theme game (while supplies last). Please be prepared with your seat location and ticket information when you call.

I'm a Season Ticket Holder. Do my tickets include access to Theme Ticket events?

Season Tickets do not automatically include access to a Theme item or event. However, based on availability, Season Ticket Holders are welcome to purchase a Theme Ticket voucher to supplement their Season Tickets. Season Ticket Holders should contact their Account Executive to purchase a voucher.

Can I redeem a Marty Pass, coupon, or ticket voucher for Theme Tickets?

Unfortunately, no discounts or vouchers can be applied to Theme Tickets.

I purchased a Theme Ticket with a sized item, but now different people are coming to the game with me. Can I exchange sizes?

Yes, but only if you contact us prior to the game. We will NOT be able to accommodate requests for exchanges during distribution, due to inventory restrictions. If you need to exchange a size, please call the Ticket Sales Department at 314-345-9000.

I was unable to pick up my Theme item during distribution. How do I retrieve it later in the game?

A limited number of items are taken to the closest Guest Relations station once distribution ends. If they run out, Guest Relations will direct you to call the Ticket Sales Department at 314-345-9000.

If I can't make the game, am I able to collect my giveaway item?

We cannot guarantee the ability to collect your item after the game date, but we will do our best to work with each individual on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Ticket Sales Department at 314-345-9000 as soon as possible to discuss options.

If I have multiple Theme vouchers, can I pick up items for other members of my group?

Yes, one person may pick up multiple Theme items. You must present a voucher for each item being picked up.

We will not be able to provide boxes or assistance carrying multiple items at once.

Can I purchase a Theme Item at the game if I didn't buy a Theme Ticket or Theme Voucher in advance?

We are able to upgrade your regular ticket to a Theme Ticket at our Box Office or distribution area, based on availability. You are encouraged to purchase your Theme Ticket or Theme Voucher in advance to guarantee availability, your preferred size/type of item, and better pricing (upgrades may cost more the day of the game).

How do I know if I correctly purchased a Theme Ticket and will receive the exclusive giveaway item?

If you have successfully purchased a Theme Ticket, you will receive a separate voucher for the giveaway item, in addition to your game ticket. This voucher must be presented on game day in order to receive the item.

Are my Theme Tickets with a giveaway item available via Print-at-Home?

No. Tickets will be delivered through mobile delivery to the MLB Ballpark app. If you do not have a smart phone, please contact the Ticket Sales Department at 314-345-9000.
