Mission Rock

ENHANCING THE BALLPARK & NEIGHBORHOOD EXPERIENCE

Construction has started on Mission Rock, a 28-acre mixed-use development located just south of Oracle Park in Lot A.

As a centerpiece for the emerging Central Waterfront neighborhood, the parks and ground-floor shops, cafƩs, and restaurants at Mission Rock create new opportunities for Giants fans to connect with one another and with the community before and after games.

Capped by an expanded China Basin Park on McCovey Cove, the Mission Rock project will enhance public waterfront access with a total of eight acres of open space and link the neighborhood to the broader San Francisco shoreline with a segment of the Bay Trail.

Mission Rock at completion will include approximately 1,200 housing units ā€“ 40 percent of which will be affordable for low- and middle-income families and individuals ā€“ innovative office space, eclectic neighborhood-serving retail, and local manufacturing. Historic Pier 48 will be rehabilitated and a new parking structure will be constructed to serve ballpark and neighborhood needs.
