For 30+ years, the Giants have been partners with and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. In 1994, the Giants became the first professional sports team to host an HIV/AIDS awareness game, becoming our annual Until There’s A Cure game, when infection rates and stigma were first devastating the community of San Francisco. The Giants were also the first professional sports team to join the It Gets Better Campaign in support of LGBTQIA+ youth to combat bullying. In 2015, the Giants signed an amicus brief for marriage equality as it speaks directly to the organization’s core values of equality and social justice for all people. In 2021, the Giants became the first MLB team to incorporate Pride colors into their on-field uniform for the Pride game. Each year, throughout the month of June, the Giants celebrate members of the community and important figures in LGBTQIA+ history as well as hosting a formal raising of the Pride and Transgender flags and more.

The group provides an inclusive space to advocate for the needs of LGBTQ+ colleagues while empowering one another and promoting social awareness, equality, and belonging throughout the organization.
Women In Sports

Every season, the Giants host Girls Day at Oracle Park to recognize important female figures within the Giants organization and beyond. This day is dedicated to engaging, inspiring and empowering women and girls to succeed in sports, on and off the field. The Giants also present a woman within the organization with the Alexis T. Busch Award, which recognizes a women who has made an immeasurable impact on the advancement of women in sports. Alexis became the first bat girl in MLB history - paving the way for other girls to follow. Her presence in the dugout was groundbreaking, proving more than two decades ago that there is room for both women and men in a major league dugout.
The Giants are proud to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day every year, showcasing all of the powerful women within the Giants organization.

Momentum is the San Francisco Giants Women’s Network and the organization’s first established employee resource group (ERG). Dedicated to empowering women across the Giants Front Office, Momentum fosters personal and professional growth, leadership development, and a strong community of support for its 170+ members and growing.
Culture & Heritage

Each year, the Giants proudly host Black Heritage Day at Oracle Park. This day features dynamic performances, tributes and festivities that embody unity, pride, and a shared sense of community. As part of this celebration, the Giants also honor the San Francisco Sea Lions, the historic Negro Leagues team that preceded them, by wearing jerseys and showcasing Sea Lions stories and imagery throughout the ballpark.

Black Excellence is the San Francisco Giants’ employee resource group and professional network for Black employees, dedicated to advancing equity, inclusion, and representation across the organization. By leveraging their collective expertise and leadership, Black Excellence works to strengthen workplace culture, foster professional growth, and help shape a more diverse and successful future for the Giants.

Fiesta Gigantes is the San Francisco Giants celebration of Latino heritage and culture, honoring the vibrant communities that are an integral part of the team’s history and fanbase. Fiesta Gigantes features lively pregame festivities, cultural performances, and recognitions that highlight the diversity and contributions of the Latino community.

Corazón Gigante is the San Francisco Giants’ employee resource group and professional network for Latino and Hispanic employees. Committed to enriching the Giants Familia, the group fosters education, collaboration, and an inclusive environment while celebrating Latino and Hispanic culture within the organization and the broader community.

Veterans & Military Families

In solidarity with MLB, the Giants observe Armed Forces Weekend every season to salute all active military members, veterans and their families. The Giants team dons special Armed Forces caps while military members and the nonprofit organizations that serve them are celebrated throughout pregame and in-game festivities.

Giants Veterans is the San Francisco Giants’ employee resource group for veterans and military family members within the organization. The group cultivates a supportive community that honors those who have served in the U.S. military while educating and engaging all employees who have connections to, or appreciation for, military service.

The Giants are proud to work with active-duty and veteran organizations to host military members and families for on field visits, special experiences, re-enlistment ceremonies and more throughout each season. Disabilities

For 15+ years the Giants have hosted an annual Autism Acceptance Night in collaboration with Forever Giant Will Clark, when nonprofit organizations and people with Autism and their families have a chance to build community and raise awareness at Oracle Park.

Fantasy Camp for Kids is a special day at Oracle Park where children with physical and intellectual challenges are invited to participate in an unforgettable baseball experience. Each year, groups from organizations such as the San Francisco Little League Challenger Division, the Giants Community Fund’s Junior Giants, and WAWOS, take the field for a day of fun, connection, and inspiration alongside members of the San Francisco Giants.

The San Francisco Giants are proud to be KultureCity® Certified through the Sensory Inclusive™ program, ensuring that all fans can enjoy games and events at Oracle Park with greater comfort and ease. Through specialized staff training and resources, the program supports individuals with sensory sensitivities. Sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and weighted lap pads are available to borrow free of charge at the Guest Services Desk on the Promenade Level.
