Levi’s® Community Advocate Program

Every year, the San Francisco Giants and Levi’s® team up on the Community Advocate program to highlight and support nonprofits in the Bay Area. This year, we are once again centering the campaign on organizations working on gun violence prevention in our communities.

Through a season-long campaign on select Orange Friday’s at Oracle Park, the San Francisco Giants and Levi’s® are supporting four local non-profits, LIVE FREE, Mom’s Demand Action, United Playaz and Youth ALIVE!, to raise awareness around gun violence prevention. From the second Friday game of April to the second to the last Friday game in September at Oracle Park, we’ll be highlighting the issue and these four organizations who are educating youth about critical life skills and implementing proven methodologies to make our communities safer. Levi’s® will donate $25,000 to each of these four organizations, for a total of $100,000.

Each organization will be recognized at the game with a complete in-game experience, including tickets to a suite and scoreboard shout-out. Special thanks to our manager, Gabe Kapler and Levi Strauss & Co. CEO, Chip Bergh for coming together to film the Community Advocate PSA, that will run during each of the highlighted games.

Larkin Street Youth Services

Larkin Street during COVID-19

  • Have continued to offer two safe drop-in centers for youth experiencing homelessness and remain safe by restricting the number of youth in the spaces and offering boxed lunches in place of cafeteria services.
  • Provide over 400 beds of emergency, congregate, and scattered housing throughout San Francisco.
  • Continue to provide healthcare and behavioral health services to youth in their programs.
  • Focus on still offering educational and employment services to young people uninterrupted.

Larkin Street's mission is to create a continuum of services that inspires youth to move beyond the street. They nurture potential, promote dignity, and support bold steps by all. To learn more about Larkin Street, visit www.larkinstreetyouth.org
