Levi’s® and the Giants are thrilled to recognize the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank for their dedication, heroic service, and support for the community during this time. As an essential service, the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank continues to do the day-in and day-out job of making sure vulnerable neighbors get the food they need. The Food Bank has put various solutions in place to be able to continue providing food to help our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Food Bank has ramped up efforts to overcome growing barriers to food access by launching pop-up food pantries, supporting existing pantries, home-delivering to the most vulnerable, and focusing on safety.
Levi’s® Community Advocate Program
Every year, the San Francisco Giants and Levi’s® team up on the Community Advocate program to highlight and support nonprofits in the Bay Area. This year, we are once again centering the campaign on organizations working on gun violence prevention in our communities.
Through a season-long campaign on select Orange Friday’s at Oracle Park, the San Francisco Giants and Levi’s® are supporting four local non-profits, LIVE FREE, Mom’s Demand Action, United Playaz and Youth ALIVE!, to raise awareness around gun violence prevention. From the second Friday game of April to the second to the last Friday game in September at Oracle Park, we’ll be highlighting the issue and these four organizations who are educating youth about critical life skills and implementing proven methodologies to make our communities safer. Levi’s® will donate $25,000 to each of these four organizations, for a total of $100,000.
Each organization will be recognized at the game with a complete in-game experience, including tickets to a suite and scoreboard shout-out. Special thanks to our manager, Gabe Kapler and Levi Strauss & Co. CEO, Chip Bergh for coming together to film the Community Advocate PSA, that will run during each of the highlighted games.
