Filipino Heritage Night will celebrate the artists, musicians, and community leaders who continue to shape and share Filipino culture across generations.
The National Anthem will be performed by Bay Area harpist GEO, who has gained widespread attention for her unique style of blending classical harp techniques with hip-hop beats and Bay Area hype music.
Spanky Rigor of VST & Company will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The legendary Filipino disco and pop group helped pioneer the iconic Manila Sound movement of the 1970s. Decades later, their music continues to thrive across social media, Filipino celebrations, and soundtracks—engaging new audiences and inspiring the next generation of musicians and artists.
The evening’s pregame interview will feature LeRoid, a San Francisco native and proud second-generation Filipino American illustrator and graphic designer whose work reflects his creativity, culture, and Bay Area roots.
Three young athletes representing Bay Area youth baseball and softball organizations will also take part in the pregame festivities, celebrating the next generation of the game.
During the VIP live shot, we’ll recognize David Cruz, owner of Rep It Out, a baseball and softball training facility dedicated to providing young athletes with quality instruction, resources, and opportunities to develop their skills. Through initiatives such as free community clinics, David is helping introduce more local youth to baseball and softball while creating greater access to the game.
About the Artist:
LeRoid David is a second-generation Filipino American, Bay Area born and raised illustrator and graphic designer. His artwork reflects his passion for pop-culture, sports, and community. The San Francisco State alum has worked for various industries and personalities- from film to radio, music, pro sports, local businesses, and non-profit organizations. Most recently, LeRoid's design was selected by FIFA and the Bay Area Host Committee for the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ SF Bay Area Host City Poster.
About the Artwork:
The jersey beams with Filipino pride fusing elements of history and heritage. Three stars and a sun from the Philippines flag shine front and center. Silhouettes of the distinctive Kris Sword and delicate Sampaguita flower embody strength and humility, while the backside reveals an illustrative piece that celebrates Filipino legacy, the Bay Area communities, and the excitement of Giants baseball.
