More on the Arizona Fall League:
MONDAY
Scottsdale (DET, HOU, NYM, SF, WSH) @ Salt River (AZ, BOS, COL, LAA, PIT), 8:30 p.m. ET
This is a matchup of the two highest-scoring teams in Arizona this fall. The Scorpions' lineup sports the game's reigning AFL Hitter of the Week in shortstop Kevin McGonigle (DET No. 1/MLB No. 2), while Salt River leans upon 2024 third overall pick Charlie Condon (COL No. 2/MLB No. 61).
Peoria (BAL, CIN, MIN, SD, SEA) @ Surprise (CLE, KC, MIL, PHI, TEX), 8:30 p.m. ET
Fleet-footed center fielder Enrique Bradfield Jr. (BAL No. 4) is vying for the AFL stolen-base crown for the Javelinas, while Surprise leans on a lineup of Phillies playmakers, including Dylan Campbell (PHI No. 28) and Dylan O'Rae.
Mesa (ATH, CHC, MIA, NYY, TB) @ Glendale (ATL, CWS, LAD, STL, TOR), 8:30 p.m. ET
Cubs catcher Owen Ayers has been one of the best surprises for Mesa this fall, remaining among the league leaders in hitting, homers and OPS after a hot start. White Sox outfielder Caden Connor has been a revelation for the Desert Dogs, posting a .918 OPS through his first 16 games.
TUESDAY
Peoria (BAL, CIN, MIN, SD, SEA) @ Mesa (ATH, CHC, MIA, NYY, TB), 2:30 p.m. ET
The Javelinas bring their trio of Top 100 prospects -- Alfredo Duno (CIN No. 2/MLB No. 48), Jonny Farmelo (SEA No. 7/MLB No. 75) and Cam Collier (CIN No. 6/MLB No. 94) into this matchup against defensive wiz Starlyn Caba (MIA No. 5) and Mesa
Surprise (CLE, KC, MIL, PHI, TEX) @ Salt River (AZ, BOS, COL, LAA, PIT), 5:30 p.m. ET
Surprise sports one of the fall's biggest, ahem, surprises, in Angels outfielder Raudi Rodriguez, who entered the week second in the AFL batting race with a .421 average. The Rafters, meanwhile, tout a bevy of talented right-handed hitters like Rockies slugger Charlie Condon (COL No. 2/MLB No. 61).
Glendale (ATL, CWS, LAD, STL, TOR) @ Scottsdale (DET, HOU, NYM, SF, WSH), 8:30 p.m. ET
Two of the Desert Dogs' highest-impact players are speedsters -- league stolen-base wizards Patrick Clohisy and outfielder Sam Antonacci (CWS No. 11), who entered the week hitting .394. Scottsdale, meanwhile, is the league's top home run hitting team, with two players -- Kevin McGonigle (DET No. 1/MLB No. 2) and Chris Suero (NYM No. 15) -- with five homers apiece.
WEDNESDAY
Salt River (AZ, BOS, COL, LAA, PIT) @ Glendale (ATL, CWS, LAD, STL, TOR), 3:30 p.m. ET
The Rafters are led by home run leader Esmerlyn Valdez (PIT No. 15), while White Sox outfielder Caden Connor has been a revelation for the Desert Dogs, hitting .383 with 10 more walks (18) than strikeouts (8) through his first 18 games this fall.
Surprise (CLE, KC, MIL, PHI, TEX) @ Peoria (BAL, CIN, MIN, SD, SEA), 3:30 p.m. ET
Flying under the radar as much as anyone this fall is Royals infielder Daniel Vazquez (KC No. 16), who entered the week hitting .342 for Surprise. The Javelinas' lineup features infielder Leo Balcazar (CIN No. 23), whose 26 hits ranked second in the league entering the week.
Mesa (ATH, CHC, MIA, NYY, TB) @ Scottsdale (DET, HOU, NYM, SF, WSH), 3:30 p.m. ET
A's outfielder Ryan Lasko (ATH No. 17) has really come on for the Solar Sox -- he entered the week hitting .373 and ranked fifth in the league with 25 hits. Nationals shortstop Seaver King (WSH No. 7) has been red-hot since the Fall League started for the Scorpions, sporting a 1.041 OPS.
