Attended Rudder (TX) High School. Pitched at Texas Tech University (2019-20) but missed his junior season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March 2021. His father, Lance, pitched for two seasons (1996-97) in the Diamondbacks organization. Participated in the Red Sox Rookie Development Program in January 2025...The program included two workouts daily, seminars focused on assimilation into Major League life on and off the field, an RBI clinic with the Red Sox Foundation and a visit to Boston Children’s Hospital. Attended Fenway Fest in January 2025, signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.

2024

Went 8-5 with a 3.08 ERA (43 ER/125.2 IP) and 120 SO in 25 starts between Double-A Portland (21 starts) and Triple-A Worcester (four). Began the season with Double-A Portland and went 7-3 with a 3.17 ERA (37 ER/105.0 IP) and 98 SO in 21 starts. Over his first four starts of the season, went 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA (5 ER/21.0 IP) and .211 opponent AVG (16-for-76). Tossed seven scoreless IP on 5/31 at Altoona (3 H, BB, 8 SO). Led the Eastern League in ERA from 6/30-8/20, going 3-1 with a 1.79 ERA (9 ER/45.1 IP) and .211 opponent AVG (35-for-166) in that span. Promoted to Triple-A Worcester on 8/22...At the time of his promotion, ranked third in the Eastern League in ERA. Tossed 15.1 consecutive scoreless innings from 8/8 vs. Altoona (third inning) through 8/30 vs. Toledo (first inning)... Included back-to-back scoreless starts of six IP on 8/14 at Binghamton and 8/20 vs. Somerset.
