On Thursday, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
• Placed first baseman Greg Bird on the 10-day disabled list with right ankle surgery (retroactive to Monday)
• Placed outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury on the 10-day disabled list with a right oblique strain (retroactive to Monday)
• Placed outfielder Clint Frazier on the seven-day concussion disabled list (retroactive to Monday)
• Recalled infielder/outfielder Christopher Austin from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
