Full name is Aubrey Chase Hampton...In two seasons with Texas Tech (2021-22), went 9-5 with a 4.10 ERA (101.0IP, 46ER) and 106K in 33 games (18 starts)...Graduated from Kilgore H.S. (Texas)...finished his high school career with a 1.94 ERA and 284K...was First Team All-State and District MVP.

2025

Did not pitch after undergoing “Tommy John” surgery on 2/21...the procedure was performed by Yankees Head Team Physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital...Following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the Yankees' No. 9 prospect...Was added to the Yankees’ 40-man roster on 11/18.  

2024

Made seven combined starts with the FCL Yankees, Single-A Tampa and Double-A Somerset, going 0-1 with a 2.41 ERA (18.2IP, 11H, 6R/5ER, 9BB, 16K, 1HR)… in Spring Training, was named the 2023 recipient of the “Kevin Lawn” Award as the Yankees’ minor league “Pitcher Player of the Year”… following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the No. 7 prospect in the Yankees organization… was tabbed by Baseball America as having the “Best Fastball” and “Best Curveball” among Yankees farmhands.

2023

Made his professional debut, splitting the season between High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset and going 4-3 with a 3.63 ERA (106.2IP, 85H, 51R/43ER, 37BB, 145K, 13HR) in 20 combined starts…among Yankees minor leaguers, ranked sixth in strikeouts and ninth in innings pitched…began the season with Hudson Valley, going 2-1 with a 2.68 ERA (47.0IP, 31H, 18R/14ER, 16BB, 77K, 5HR) in nine starts…was promoted to Somerset on 6/15 and went 2-2 with a 4.37 ERA (59.2IP, 54H, 33R/29ER, 21BB, 68K, 8HR) in 11 starts… following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the No. 6 prospect in the Yankees organization and the No. 72 prospect in baseball…was also labeled by the publication as having the “Best Fastball” and “Best Curveball” among Yankees farmhands…was also tabbed as the No. 92 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.
