The San Diego, Calif., native spent the majority of the 2019 season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, batting .314 (74-for-236) with 32R, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 6HR, 28RBI and 32BB in 82 games. He also appeared in one game for the Phillies.

He was originally selected by the Tigers in the third round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of California, Riverside.

Brantly has been added to the Yankees’ 60-man roster and assigned to the Alternate Site.
