The New York Yankees today announced that they will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Covenant House (www.covenanthouse.org) with a special four-game fundraising ticket offer and pregame ceremony.

For the Sunday, May 22 game vs. the Chicago White Sox and the three-game series on Monday, May 23, Tuesday, May 24, and Wednesday, May 25 vs. the Baltimore Orioles, fans can purchase field level tickets for $50 each — with $5 of every ticket being donated to Covenant House. Additionally, on Tuesday, May 24, the Yankees will hold an on-field pregame ceremony recognizing Covenant House’s five decades of life-changing efforts.

“I’ve been involved in Covenant House’s mission for more than a decade, and I never cease to be touched by the stories of struggle that have led these young people into its care,” said Yankees Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Cashman. “These kids arrive at Covenant House with an unfathomable amount of inner strength given what they’ve been through, and Covenant House’s dedicated staff embraces them with the stability, emotional support and day-to-day practical skills that guide them toward becoming the individuals they were meant to be.”

For the past 12 years, Cashman has served on the Covenant House International Board of Directors, and for the last 11 years, he has participated in the organization’s signature Sleep Out event in which individuals sleep outside overnight to raise money for Covenant House while demonstrating their solidarity with homeless young people. In November 2019, the event was hosted at Yankee Stadium with participants sleeping on the floor of the Great Hall.
