In addition to Griep, a Kansas State right-hander who will head to advanced rookie-level Helena, the Brewers have signed right-hander Karsen Lindell, an Oregon prep pitcher who had a scholarship to the University of Washington; 20th-rounder David Lucroy, a right-hander from East Carolina and the younger brother of catcher Jonathan; and Mitch Ghelfi, a catcher from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Lucroy will join Griep at Helena, which opens play on Thursday night at home. Lindell and Ghelfi were among those assigned to the Brewers' other rookie affiliate in the Arizona League. The Arizona Brewers begin their season on Saturday.

Earlier this week the Brewers signed first-round pick Trent Clark, second-round pick Cody Ponce and third-round pick Nash Walters. Clark and Walters are headed to Arizona, Ponce to Helena. The top unsigned picks are Nate Kirby, a left-hander selected in Competitive Balance Round A who is still active with the University of Virginia in the College World Series, and fourth-rounder Demi Orimoloye, a high school outfielder from Canada. Orimoloye will sign, a club official said, but his contract had not been finalized as of Wednesday afternoon.

Per club policy, the Brewers did not release any information about signing bonuses.

Other players signed as of Wednesday (with their Draft round and affiliate): Shortstop Jose Cuas (11th round, Helena), left-hander Drake Owenby (12th round, Arizona), first baseman Tyrone Perry (14th round, Arizona), right-hander Gentry Fortuno (18th round, Arizona), first baseman Steven Karkenny (19th round, Helena), right-hander Jonathan Perrin (27th round, Arizona), right-hander Colton Cross (31st round, Arizona), left-hander Quintin Torres-Costa (35th round, Arizona), right-hander Scott Grist (38th round, Arizona)

The Brewers also signed two undrafted players. USA outfielder Omar Cotto was assigned to Helena, and right-hander Jose Flores, from the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma, was sent to Arizona.
