Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Day

Celebrate the Asian American and Pacific Islander community's rich history in baseball and St. Louis at Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Day on Sunday, May 3rd when the Cardinals host the LA Dodgers! With the purchase of a special Theme Ticket, fans will take home an AAPI-inspired Cardinals jersey, designed by artist Claire Nipper! A portion of each ticket sold will benefit The Very Asian Foundation. Come early for a special heritage celebration in Budweiser Terrace.
Artist Statement:
The floral designs along the bottom are inspired by national Asian flowers, which represent many of the big nationalities throughout Asia and the Pacific Islands. Red and gold are used as the prominent colors throughout the jersey as symbols of luck, prosperity, and celebration in many Asian cultures.
The Clydesdale is featured as the central symbol in honor of the Year of the Horse. Horses represent strength, freedom, and forward movement. The Clydesdale is designed as a Fire Horse, referencing this year and symbolizing passion, power, and transformation. Asian cloud motifs surround the number 26, nodding to the story of the zodiac and the heavenly race.
The sleeve details are inspired by traditional Polynesian patterns, adding a subtle nod to that part of the AANHPI group.
Please note: The AAPI jersey is only available with the purchase of a special Theme Ticket. All Theme Ticket purchases will come with a game ticket that indicates the item and/or size of Theme item included. Theme Tickets no longer feature a separate voucher. The ticket should be redeemed at the pre-game distribution for the Theme item. Size exchanges will not be available at distribution. Only fans that present their Theme Ticket at the distribution will be eligible to receive the item. You may pick up your item at Budweiser Terrace, on the Terrace level across from section 431, from 11:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
