McCovey Cove Tiles

The tiles at McCovey Cove were removed from their original location to accommodate the expansion of China Basin Park. The tiles in their original state could not be salvaged during construction, however, the individual inscriptions will be showcased in an updated design that can be visited and photographed. Further details will be provided at a later date.

The original China Basin Park served as an important extension of the Giants’ presence along McCovey Cove for nearly 20 years. As we enter the next chapter in the evolution of the area south of the ballpark, we are excited to share its transformation into a new neighborhood and destination for the entire community. The park will be available to the public beginning on April 5, Opening Day at Oracle Park. Events and programming will start to take place later this spring.
